i knew some families that celebrated "family day" on christmas eve or some time around the holiday.. i don't know of too many witnesses that actually celebrated but kinda came close....haha.
Yes, not with those names however. The things that were too obviously related to holiday like christmas tree was not used but special food, watching traditional TV-shows and all other rituals were there. For birthdays it was OK to receive gifts from unbelieving relatives, but there was no funny hats and cakes.
In short I could state that we semi-celebrated all relevant holidays.

just what is it that the watchtower thinks is so much more modest and respectful to jehovah about wearing a skirt instead of trousers?
that is, unless you live in a culture that has trousers as the norm for women, as in india.. something today brought this to my mind.
i can't even remember what it was, but it led to thinking again about this.

so the co is in town...sorry i can't disclose much info....i haven't done anything wrong that warrants no longer serving as an ms....but the co is thinking of deleting me as an ms (my parents are aware)....i really hope he does as this will make my fade much more easier...... freedom is just around the corner i hope.... peace.

Wouldn't it be nice, when you meet the elders that first thing you would say is you have been meditating a lot and that you have decided to leave your privileges as MS, because ......... Then just thank them that they took time to meet you and you had this way possibility to express your decision.
