respectful_observer: But because they're able to frame these statements around the FD&S, it's not like they're really saying these things about themselves...
I see your point on this. But they also say that members of the F&DS not of the governing body are not in teaching positions, quoting 1 Corinthians 12:29,30. In fact, they say that [other] " Christians who have truly received this anointing... do not believe that their being of the anointed gives them special insights beyond what even some experienced members of the “great crowd” may have." - w09 6/15 The Faithful Steward and It's Governing Body p. 23 par. 15
With that position in mind, who else besides the governing body could they be referring to when they make comments like the one from the Daniel book above: They were given outstanding insight into God’s Word, being empowered to “rove about” in it and, guided by holy spirit, to unlock age-old mysteries. Jehovah cleansed them and made them shine spiritually, as brightly as stars. Consequently, they brought many into a righteous standing with Jehovah God.

w07 4/1 Loyal to Christ and His Faithful Slave p.24 par. 13 Another Scriptural reason for showing respect for the faithful slave is that anointed Christians on earth are figuratively spoken of as a “temple” that Jehovah inhabits “by spirit.” As such, they are “holy.” w06 11/1 Do You Share Jehovah's View of Sacred Things? p.24 par. 11 By means of his spirit, Jehovah ‘resides’ among the anointed and ‘walks among them.’ (2 Corinthians 6:16) He continually guides his faithful “slave.” (Matthew 24:45-47) The “other sheep” cherish their privilege of being associated with the “temple” class.
For more information regarding the splendor, majesty and granduer of the Governing Body, please see the Governing Body as they humbly keeps files and files of this stuff on hand. In the meantime, mind your privilege to be in the presence, nay, the loving association with such... divinity.
this forum would probably not be a good measuring stick for answering that question.
god is supposed to put it into the heart of the beast (u.n.) to hate the harlot (religion) and destroy her.
do you see this happening or is this another "we're seeing more earthquakes" thing?.

I've noticed an upsurge in atheism since I was a kid. I think more and more people are put off by religion. People claim to be Christian but don't go to church. But none of those people, atheists to non-churchgoers, are The Beast.
Another scripture said that Babylon the Great would be destroyed with a "swift pitch", so maybe we won't even see it coming, eh? (not Canadian)
last week i took a trip down to santa ana, ca.
and met robert jankowski, a name i heard very often at bethel in the late 70s.
robert was one of the voices of many watchtower drama characters in the 70s, along with tom cabeen, who he often worked with.. in addition, the watchtower was allowed a slot on local radio stations every sunday (allowed by law free of charge to churches then) , which he provided to the radio stations in cassette form in advance.

i am curious to see how different people answer this question.
i dont think there is a right or wrong answer per se, just an answer that is more right to each person.
is it worse to let a guilty person go free, or to lock up an innocent person?
Better to have one victim than two.
did he start believing in the trinity and hellfire?
i have not read in search of christian freedom yet as i do not have a copy of it.
does he touch on this in that book?.
Actually, soft+gentle, I specifically remember Franz stating in Christian Freedom that he did not believe in the trinity and that the dogmatic "believe in it or burn" approach to the doctrine that many trinitarians have is one of the things he finds distasteful about it. (Not his exact words) My copy of the book is out on loan right now or I would find the quote for you.
What I took from the Afterword of Christian Freedom is that Franz never tried to lay out a set of doctrines for people to follow. He did mention a few items that were contained in his own belief system but for the most part, he encouraged people to study and be led by holy spirit. He emphasised personal responsibility for OUR OWN relationship with god, not one that has been assigned to us by other men.
samantha brick has this problem.
i understand her pain..
You can't imagine my burden.
Please heavenly Father, we pray for those who have persecuted us, we pray for those who have cast us off. We do not judge them or anyone as your son told us not to do.
That was the hard part. Took some time to get there. But we got there.
Amen
