  this really means a lot to her.

  she wants you to know that she is coping well with all the stress and excitement, even though she's had years of anger and frustration because of being abused for so long, first by the molester, and then by the wt.

  Bethel's buildings in New York have demonic Gargoyles on each corner...yet Spalock is bad?

  the bishop or rouen defeated a gargoyle with his crucifix....after burning the body only the head remained which was put on the church to scare away other demonic creatures.

  the tradition continued in many buildings today.. now bethel has these creatures on buildings like the bossert hotel....yet sparlock is evil and must be removed???

  with millions of dollars at stake i guess a little demon next to "the watchtower" sign is okay..

  Letter I am writing to local Newspaper......

  That's a wonderful letter and a wonderful idea.

  I was thinking about a similar letter, formatted slightly different, to be sent to as many (other) churches as I could afford postage, asking all the other churches to pray for the thousands of anonymous, trapped, hurting JW's who can't help themselves, are desperate for help, and can only hope God will forgive them for dragging his name through the mud every time they go doo-to-door.

  The tidal wave of care and concern that TRUE CHRISTIANS would show for JW's, I think, would be astounding.

  I may steal a few ideas from your letter, Tresdecu.

  one of stongest natural desires and he was supposed to be a full fledged human all desires and everything i mean satan tempted him with food but no sexual pleasure?

  I think Jesus was tempted by the same things that tempt everyone else, including sex.

  But who said he was attracted to women? Maybe Jesus was gay. He surrounded himself with men both on earth and when he returned to heaven.

  ... and, look! the Lamb standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand... who have been bought from the earth. These are the ones that did not defile themselves with women ... These are the ones that keep following the Lamb no matter where he goes. These were bought from among mankind as first fruits to God and to the Lamb... they are without blemish.

  Jesus being gay would certainly explain why Satan directs his religious institutions to take such a hard-line hatred toward the GLBT community. I'm just say'n it could'uh was. They don't call us fruits for nuth'n!

  Qcmbr: its out of proportion and will presumably be appealed and dragged out for years and then paid in tiny installments.

  Perhaps that would be a good thing. The victim (bless her) has made it clear she was interested in juctice, not necessarily the money. If she has the stomach for it, dragging this case out for years means it remains fodder for the media, rather than slipping away as yesterday's news. It would be a tough road for the victim who has already been through enough, performed so admirably, and layed the groundwork for so much more good to be done on this front... but assuming she was game for it, dragging this case through the courts for years drags the WTS along and all the nasty details and public exposure that comes with it.

  Shunning ... when it's Convenient

  i have a lifelong buddy (g) who is now df'd ....doing great and happy.

  he has a nice boat.

  a while back he gets a call from a very well known elder who, of course, shuns him.. elder: "hi g. i know this is a little strange, but i don't know who else to call".
