  Moral dilemma: to tell my husband or not to tell him...

  that his jw best friend he hasn't seen in ages is coming for holidays from where he now lives overseas.

  this jw friend was instrumental in getting my husband into the cult before we met.

  i heard from a jw from my old cong who just emailed me.

  i have recently been having a feeling of guilt for having escaped the w.t while so many friends and family remain trapped.. has anyone else ever had similar feelings?.

  Unable to relate in.

  I have no ill will toward those still in. I would do anything to help those still in. I would welcome those still in into my home and occassionally I feel bad for those whos minds are still trapped. But I have no guilt. I have no need of guilt. For once I am confident I did exactly the right thing. Any negative fallout associated with my decision to leave is the responsibility of the cult... not the Dork.

  What's Your Opinion Of The News Media?

  i believe they are very powerful as a group.

  if they dig in and go after someone or something, they are relentless.. conversely, if they choose to ignore something or somebody, the public may never be aware of a matter.. i support freedom of the press and i think they should be applauded for their convictions.

  on the other hand, perhaps more should be expected of them..

  Some opposers have spread slanderous lies in the media, even falsely accusing Jehovah’s Witnesses of being a dangerous cult. (w01 10/15)

  Should I send this letter to my non-JW cousin who refuses to listen to ANY criticism of our JW relatives?

  Being a jw almost killed

  this is the first time i've commented on this site, but i do enjoy to come here just to help clarify myself in times of need, ie when those wretched teachings resurface.

  a bit about myself.. i was born in 1970 into the wonderful happy organisation (lol) and had a unremarkable childhood or so i thought (apart from being abused by an ms), all i can remember is being terrified of dying at armageddon.

  attending 5 meetings a week and being used to preach as people wont shout at a child, studying the literature, not being able to watch popular tv shows, no xmas, birthdays the usual shit.. fast forward to age 16 and i fell in love with a worldly girl (the horror) and got her pregnant, my parents were devasted talking all the time how people in the borg would view them, nothing about what i was going thru, 16 and becoming a father, quite a big thing to me.
