Would you support "Open Carry" legislation in your state?

many states have such laws.

it is being considered in many others.

if legal, would you openly carry a firearm?.

If making gun possession illegal in the states would guarantee that criminals didn't have access to guns, then I'd say: Screw the constitution, make guns illegal.

Unfortunately that's not how it works. Making guns illegal just ensures that only criminals have guns.

Even if all gun manufacture is halted in the states, and it's completely illegal to even bring a firearm into the country. Criminals will still import guns illegally.

What it WOULD accomplish is stopping idiots who THINK they can help by owning a gun, from being stupid and shooting innocent people on accident.

Holy crap this looks even more boring than ever.

And I'm not just saying that because I'm an apostate. . . this honestly looks REALLY freaking boring.

At least when they give parts on apostacy, prophecy, history or their crappy understanding of science I have something to stew about, get upset over or explain to my family.

But this is all just boringness!

Hi Lore, what is your point for asking these questions?

I didn't have a point exactly. It's just an interesting question.

A lot of people would say they'd throw themselves on the grenade to save a few other lives. But very very rarely will anyone say they'd be willing to be killed now to save dozens through the organ transpant.

I'm curious about why that is.

Why is sacrificing yourself in a violent emergency heroic and admirable, but sacrificing yourself to provide essential parts is creepy and objectionable?

Why is that? What's the difference? Either way you're deliberately sacrificing yourself to save others.

Imagine you were the one of the guys waiting on an organ transplant. You'd probably feel VERY guilty about accepting the organ if you knew that he killed himself to give it to you.

But if someone threw themselves on a grenade to save you. Would you feel the same guilt? Or would you just admire the guy and thank his family?

There's something different about it, and I want to know what it is.

Why don't you? There's a lot of people waiting on organs and pretty much no hope that there will be enough to save them all.

i googled for reviews, i only see two bad reviews for one company that makes them.

if you have it, would you recommend it for me to buy it?

I wouldn't use one.

You can have your computer send you a text message when you get an email, or display a dialog box saying: "You've got mail" or play a sound. I wouldn't spend any money for yet another way for the computer to let me know I have an email.

If you do get one, I'd reccomend using one that doubles as a USB splitter or something.

You are in a room with two other people. You barely know them, but they are kind of nice people. They are both asleep.

Suddenly a lunatic runs in and throws a grenade between the three of you.

Do you push one of them off their bed onto the grenade.

Do you throw yourself on the grenade and save the other two.

Or do you run away.

OK, Think about that and answer it, then look at scenario number 2:

Thanks to modern medicine, we can use your heart to save 1 person, your lungs to save 2 people, your liver to save 1 person, your kidneys to save 2 people.

Lets say that if we killed you now and took you apart, we could save 10 lives with your organs.

Do you sacrifice yourself to save the 10 people?

What if you know one of them is a really nice person and they'll die by the end of the day unless they get a lung?

What if all 10 of those people are nice people who will die without your organs?

In the first case, you save 2 human lives.

In the second case, you save 10 human lives.

Why did Satan want to kill Jesus?

why would satan have wanted to kill jesus if jesus' death would defeat satan and save mankind?

why would satan enter judas at the last supper and get judas to betray jesus, leading him to his death, if this death is what defeated satan?.

Even with all the centuries of theology building and bible study. . . Satan's motivations seem pretty poorly fleshed out.

"Because he's evil" is the default answer for: "Why would Satan do that?"

That really only works for really crappy childrens fiction.

If you ask: Why did Scar kill Mufasa? (spoilers :P) The answer is: Because he wanted to become king and he thought he had a good shot at it if Mufasa was dead.

If you ask: Why did Jafar steal the lamp? The answer is: Because he wanted phenominal cosmic power, and he thought he could use the Genie to get it.

If you ask: Why did Satan start World War I as soon as he was cast from heaven if that's exactly what god wanted done to fulfill prophecy? The answer: 'Because he's evil', just doesn't even work.

God is a spirit.

Can spirit be created?

This is special pleading. Saying that god doesn't require an intelligent creator to exist is admitting that the argument fom complexity is flawed, since you are positing a complex thing which does not require an intelligent creator.

Also according to your theology, if angels are spirits, and they were created by god, then the answer is: Yes, spirits can be created.
