Elders always say to their spouses and the rank and file that disfellowshipping is the last resort. That is the same as the WTBS saying to the outside world they have no policy of not reporting child abuse to the authorities. Both are lies. You might get a slap on the wrist if you had sex one time and then go on your knees to the elders. But the chances for this young man who had sex multiple times, and only comes to the elders hen sh*t hits the fan, has almost no chance whatsoever. Not coming straight to the elders after the 1st offence is seen as putting their God-given position into question... no forgiving that one...

Elder School Video

there was a video circulating about three years ago showing a sample judicial meeting, which basically ended up with the other elders slamming the one guy who was trying to be somewhat merciful.
of course the person was df'd.. my husband said at the meeting they actually had a talk saying that now the elders look for any reason not to df, etc.,etc.. i am trying to find that video.

The Dutch bethel has laid off 25%. My uncle (in his 50ies) is moving out, a former friend (in his 30ies) is allowed to stay. I guess I do not need to state that some skills not learned by the WTBS play a significant role. -

These statistics are snapshot from August. There is no effect yet from the ARC or the cutbacks, since all happened during the summer. And even in 2016 it might still be early. It takes a while for any JW to wake up and quit, what makes someone wake up today will only appear in the numbers much later. The decrease in preached hours is a telltale sign though -

Up to you to decide whether you shape the circumstances, or let it happen by others. Obviously the 2nd option is far more painful for all involved. And it might be late pursue your dreams when it comes. So think ahead, slowly withdraw yourselves without raising suspicions, and nobody will put so much efforts into stopping you as they did 1st time. Grow to independence, reduce your activity in the congo, and absorb yourselves into other wholesome activities (sports, hobby's, music...) -

How to evade questions from elders when you stop going out door to door

If reporting hours is not a problem, just report fake numbers. You can always claim to preach these few hours with family members or with a friend in a neighbor congregation.
If you do not want to report any more, and someone wants to make an appointment, set it up, and cancel it the night before. something unexpected has come up or whatever. If you that 2 times, they will not bother you any more.

1) I feel way better now than I did when I was an active witness.
2) I do not envy the witnesses for the so called 'happy life', because it does not exist. I know 1st hand that it is just what it looks like, as soon as you start scratching the surface, all the happy faces are just covering a lot of unhappiness, and that includes the top ranking witnesses.

Local Congregation Takes Away My Dad's Phone Hook-Up (HE'S 85 YRS. OLD)

they say that this is direction from the "branch office".
i think it's complete bs, the real reason why they are doing this is to punish me & my family because i am basically a ghost when it comes to meetings & any type of activity.
