Don't even know how to respond to this stupidity. Your daughters private life is hers and none of the elders business. If they push the issue make that fact very plain and let them know there are laws regarding harassment. Bug

The Real Reason to Bomb Iraq
by metatron inthere's a lot of nonsense about the coming iraq war that's floating about.. there's a lot of dumb editorials and knee jerk comments about oil and george bush.. the reality is: they can't publically discuss the real reasons why a war with iraq.
is desirable.here's the real motivation - they want to create a progressive secular.
arab regime and fend off muslim fundamentalists.. comments about bush's iq are off the mark and foolish.

I've always thought that a base in the western desert of Iraq could control the entire region. Turkey to the north, Iran to the west and Saudis to the south. They wouldn't dare start trouble with a good sized US Air Base within minutes of them.

Ah maght be unejuamakaitud
by Marcos ini just read a reply on another thread (doesnt really matter which one) in which a person made reference to 2 elders and said that they were not too bright, perhaps inbreeding.
presumably this was said because the guys acted in a stupid manner in their counseling and were from the american south.
are southerners really stupid and inbred?

I Made 15 Bucks and Got to Scare Small Children
by Robdar ini told several board members that i would post a picture or two of the living statue.
i did it for just about an hour and a half before my butt went to sleep and i decided to go home.
have you ever tried painting yourself gold and holding still for long periods of time with people taunting you and trying to get you to laugh?

Back2dafront, that would make a very interesting "study." I also enjoy the blues because most of the country music we hear today has its roots in the blues. May I recommend two discs you might find interesting? Get a copy of O Brother, where art thou? and Down from the mountain. Both have music by The Fairfield Four and Chris Thomas King, two of my favorites. I suspect you will agree these purchases will be worth the money. Bug

StinkyPantz, and back2dafront, I am hereby offering to "study" with each of you for one hour per week and, since you already appreciate some country music, you should advance to "baptism" in the society of country music lovers within six months. Only one fly in the buttermilk, you will both need to move to Texas during that six month period.

I am a Former Addict
by Robdar ini quit smoking 3 days ago.
it was not as difficult as i thought it was going to be.
i have tried to break the habit before but always gave up, thinking that i was hopelessly addicted.

I have quit smoking and been thru military basic training. If I had to do one or the other over again, I would choose basic training. I'm convinced that quitting smoking is the most difficult thing a person can do, but the rewards make it worthwhile. Robdar you are seeing benefits after only three days and the longer you stay off of cigarettes the better you will feel. Wish there was some way we could help other than just offering encouragement.....

Officially Disassociated Tonight
by Princess insteve and i attended our very last meeting this evening.
i wrote a thread a few weeks ago about our elder visit and their decision to announce that we were disassociated.
they agreed to wait until we returned from our vacation so i could tell my grandma who still attends via phone link and so she wouldn't have to be alone in her devastation.

Considering the way the two of you were dressed, I'm surprised some of the older ones in the congregation survived the evening. The empty seats was a real shocker. I've been away for a long time but I don't remember seeing a KH that empty. No wonder the WTBTS is worried.
Great Post !!!
