LEGALIZING MARIJUANA IN CANADA.....
by Mary inseems president bush is somewhat peeved that canada is considering legalizing small amounts of marijuana............those who have small amounts would no longer face jail time, but it would basically be treated as a traffice ticket.
hmmmmmm.............not sure what i think about this.
pot stinks to high heaven (no pun intended) and i don't want someone blowing it in my face...........any thoughts?

hey, we agree on something.....and guess what, we both disagree with bush on this one! does this mean im still ignorant for following such an ignorant man (bush)?
President Bush cannot pass a law legalizing Mary Jane, the congress must take care of that end of the situation. Until that happens, he can only enforce the law as he has sworn to do. On the other have if he should veto a bill sent to him legalizing weed, you might have a point.

I wish there were more JW's here!
by be wise inthen we wouldn't all have to jump on swordofjah, me included.

betcha "butterknife of jah" lives in his parents basement and spanks it once a week and cries".
Ok Scooby, I will try to educate as to the nature of this forum. This is an open board and as long as you stay within Simons' rules anyone can say anything, totally unlike the wtbts. I see all kinds of things on here I don't agree with, but I refuse to get rattled about it.(most of the time)
Now, try considering looking at these posts in a little different light, or from the angle of the person whose post you are reading. In other words cut the puppet strings that come down from the wtbts and use your brain the way God intended. Bug

Who leaves first?
by freedom96 ini was just remembering a guy from our hall that seemed to be the most intellectual of everyone there.
when he would give an answer, it was in depth, and always "in his own words.".
he had the biggest briefcase there, with all sorts of books, and research.

It seems obvious to me that most of the posters on this board are very intelligent. Assuming that's true, the WTBTS is losing it's best and brightest while the more dim witted stick around. No organization can afford to lose the best and keep the rest for very long. Bug

Living in the Texas Panhandle, we are well aware of the dangers of tornados, and they are an awsome thing to behold. In 1995 we had one come thru one block from us and it is an experience we will never forget. Our family was in a neighbors cellar, along with about 10 females and only two males, myself and a young fellow who said he was nineteen. When the storm approached our "fraidy hole" we heard the roar some describe, which got louder and louder until it went past and then the volume gradually became less loud. It was almost as though we were hearing it on a radio with someone was turning up the volume and then down. Needless to say, there was a lot of crying and praying.
Robyn mentioned putting her cats in the basement. When we had our little experience my daughter wanted to take our cat to the cellar, but we decided in that cramped area that might not be such a good idea so we left him in the house. When we returned, we couldn't find him, until daughter found him under the desk. She had to crawl under there and drag him out and stroke, scratch and pet him for 30 minutes before he calmed down. Apparently animals have a way of detecting these things, it may have been the noise or the change in atmospheric pressure, but that was one scared cat. After he calmed down he laid on the living room carpet and slept for a good three hours while the rest of us walked around him.
If you have a storm cellar, get in it until the danger is past. If you don't have one, get one.
francois
Excellent advice, a storm cellar is the safest place to be in this type of storm. The second choice would probably be a basement. However, if you live in a toronado prone area, Francois' advoce should be considered very seriously.

IF YOU DO THE STORY AGAIN THEN DO IT RIGHT.GET BOTH SIDES OF THE STORY BEFORE YOU PUT IT OUT.
My memory isn't what it once was, but I'm almost certain CBS gave the WTBTS the option of giving an on air statement and they refused. Could anyone with a better memory clear this up ???

Welcome, to both of you. This is an open forum, so you are bound to read things you do not agree with, but most of the stuff here is rather encouraging. Obviously simon is the "editor" but he gives us a free hand to say whatever we wish as long as we stay within the posting guidellines, which, in my opinion, make sense. Everyone is not going to always agree with you and some may get a little rude. Don't let any of this get you down. As Jesika pointed we have a great support system here so read and learn.

Jehovah's Witnesses Feel Superior To Others. What About EX-JW's???
by minimus ineveryone knows the smugness that jw's have.
"everyone is going to die except us because we only have the truth.
" do you think that ex-witnesses continue this same smugness once they get out and realize what really is the truth?

i love his work and what he has done, but he was putting the education PHD thing on a little too heavy
Scratch any PHD and you will find an arrogant pain in the south end. On the other hand, having bought into the WTBTS hook line and sinker at one time and then seeing where you were so wrong, should be a humbling experience for anyone. A lot of folks on this board are not PHD's but they are no less intelligent.
Valis is working on his PHD and I sincerely hope he proves my above statement wrong. Right now he is a good guy, let's see if the degree changes you Valis.
