  the church behind our house of course.

  at 3:30am i wake suddenly to a strange humming sound that gets louder and louder until its a low roar.

  i got up and looked out the window to see a street cleaner cleaning the parking lot at the church.

  The church parking lot is, no doubt, empty most of the week when they are not having services. Why in the world are they compelled to clean the thing at dark thirty in the morning, and in the process, wake up all of their neighbors ?? Perhaps you can use this as a talking point when the s**t hits the fan. Bug

  ATHENS 2004 OLYMPICS and U.S media

  in 1998 the international olympic commitee gave to greece the honour to organize the 2004 olympics.

  since that date and just before the opening of the olympic games u.s and u.k media were acting with paranoia against greece(hellas).

  with the end of the olympics we knew that we have done it.

  Much of the media, at least in the US and UK, have gone from reporting the news to speculating about what is going to happen. The fact the Olympics came off without a hitch is not something they would want to report. When there was bad news such as poor calls by the judges it was all over the media.

  There was once a newspaper editor who made the statement, "when a plane lands normally at the airport it is not news." The Athens Olympics proceeded normally, thus not news. Not saying that is right, it isn't, but that is the way it is.

  When we moved to our current home we got several visits from JW's who knew us back when we were loyal, brain dead dubs, including one visit from the local PO and his wife. We've know the PO and his wife since we were children. The impression I received from visiting with all of these folks is that they are afraid to discuss anything substantial concerning the Organzation. The PO is actually a bible scholar and gives excellent talks, but all he did was ask us to the Memorial. Makes a person wonder what is going on.

  it's gonna be all right.

  well peeps, i went to the kindom hall tonight, not to actually meet with the judicial comittee convened in my honor, but rather just to hand deliver a letter to the chairman of said comittee, telling them that they had "hurt my feelings by choosing to 'judge' me, when they hadn't even really seen me in about five years.

  " *snif* also telling them to "lay off, man".. i really didn't know how to handle this situation, which i'd only first heard about 2 days ago.
