by Junction-Guy inwe went through amarillo a few years ago on our way to colorado, and i absolutely loved the area, and i have wanted to go back ever since.
just outside of town heading north towards dalhart the lanscape starts to take on the feel of the old west.

Honesty. Is This Stealing?
by Country Girl inmy husband and i had a heated debate over this issue one day.
he made the point (at another time) that god views one sin as bad as another.
i said i thought god viewed certain crimes as more despicable: that a man stealing food for his family probably wasn't as bad as a murderer.

I agree CG. Taken to the extreme there won't be any recorded music in the future if the writers, artists and record company can't make money from the sale of their labors. If it has a copyright, step up and pay for it. Bug

Hangover Cures....... (groan)
by ScoobySnax ini'm sitting here bleary eyed typing this, counting the empty cans from last night feeling like crap.
so in order to remedy this i've just put some bacon and sausages in the frying pan, the mushrooms and tin tomatoes are standing by as is the bread for the fried bread to mop it all up in.
kettle on and tea (about 5 cups) beckons.

to hell with the NHL and NHLPA. They lost *this* fan for a very long time to come. If people were really smart, they'd boycott NHL hockey for 3-5 years to drive ticket prices back down to reasonable levels. The NHL wouldn't exist without the fans.
Those words by Scully were absolutly correct. I don't know much about hockey, but pro baseball has the same problem. Years ago the spectical of millionaire players striking was more than I could handle, and they have lost any business I might throw their way. This doesn't even address the arrogance and steroid use of some players. To hell with them. -

If I say to a JW : "you say that JC is about to return.... what does it mean? next week? next month? next year, in my lifetime?...." what will they answer?
They will answer that no one knows the day or the hour but they know it will be "soon". This message has been preached since 1874 which was before any of us was born. However, if you keep asking those questions they will not be able to get away with it, at least as successfully as they once did Shutterbug

Now that's an injury a man can be proud of!
by Elsewhere in*** grunt *** *** grunt *** *** grunt ***.
as some of you already know, satan pushed me down the stairs the other night and broke my ankle.
i'm proud to say that the bruises appear to have come to full maturity and are looking very manly.

Sitting here shaking my head and not believing what I am seeing. Here in the Panhandle of Texas this is a fairly common occurance but in South Texas some may only see snow once or twice in their lifetime. The dogs seem to be adapting nicely. Thanks for sharing. Bug
