  Ok, now I fess up. The Bears coach grew up in Texas which makes him a certified Texan and as everyone knows Texans are the greatest. So, I supported the Bears. Not a good day.

  I'm a huge Vince Young fan...I look forward to following his career!

  Me too. He is one of those QB's that will beat you whatever it takes. Funny thing, he grew up in Houston and they could have taken him with the first draft pick. They could have taken Reggie Bush and passed on him. These two decisions were called dumb and dumber by Jason Seahorn(sp?). Wonder what the Houston players are doing today ??

  Do you sense the need to defeat or destroy the Watchtower lessening? I do.

  despite all the shunning crap - or perhaps because of it - i feel less inclined to take positive action against the watchtower these days.

  perhaps it's just a temporary malaise or maybe it's that the organisation i looked up to for so long now seems small, petty and trivial and frankly i just don't want to waste my time and energy on it.. what do you think..

  The opposite of love is not hate, but indifference. When you hate something that you once loved, it still has the capacity to provoke a reaction from you. When you no longer care, it is a sign that you have disengaged physically, mentally and emotionally

  Now I know where I am in the process. However, when someone I've known for years ignores (shuns) me, my anger meter takes a huge jump. Other wise indifference sounds just fine. Bug

  each jw mtg my husb has to attend is a burden for me cuz he always says i start an argument.

  i know its the demand that the wts has on its followers that they cant seem to deal with.

  he'll ask me a question and i will give him my undoctrinated answer and he goes off, then announces i'm starting an argument b4 he leaves for a mtg.

  well.........here i am, a few pints of guinness further on and it got me thinking.. i luuurve guinness with a passion but what could i never give up in a month of sundays?.

  hmmmmmm...well it's definitely not alcohol....i don't think .

  for me, it's my music, my george lowden guitar (damn i've blown my cover) and all the amazing vibes that playing, singing and songwriting gives me.. what could you not give up...........in a month of sundays.. peace.

  as mentioned in a previous thread last week - my niece called about her fears over violating wts doctrine regarding blood use.

  wifey and i were able to convince her that she should use her mind, and not some foolish doctrine without basis for her decision in this regard.. during the call i set up a meeting at her home - to meet her new husband and to drop off a few related articles [non jw] to combat the watchtower doctrine on blood, and a copy of isocf.

  it was a happy reunion.

  i just got a cd as a gift from a woman that was a jw.

  i meet her when i spoke at the salvation army one time, she came up to me crying "i am d/f from the wt"" she said.

  of course i congratulated her -much to her surprise.
