  Strange, Offensive , Weird Statements on DFing Offenses in Elders Manual

  you really can't make this stuff up.

  but an organization like the wt society bent on controlling virtually every aspect of the typical jehovah's witness life - would make this up to keep their control through the use of fear and guilt.

  so- i thought i'd share what i thought was the strangest, most offensive, weird language dealing with what the wt society calls " disfellowshipping offenses " .

  Farkel, Please explain more! This is the FIRST time I have ever heard that fornication and adultery don't mean what I have previously thought them to mean. A Biblical example I think of is Phineas...Didn't he bang a moabite woman and was killed for it?

  I did wonder about animals though .Since Jehovah created everything WHY is ok for monkeys to do each other in the butt and for other animals to have multiple partners yet humans are the only ones who are going to die at A if we do such things...Why isn't God punishing the animals too?

  now that all the members of the original governing body have completed their earthly course, a question popped into my mind.. i know that there was no governing body prior to 1971. before that, how was jehovah supposed to communicate with the anointed?

  and, how come he decided to have a governing body, so that the new light would come to more men, instead of just the president of the watchtower?

  why was a governing body not there since 1914, for example?.

  Yes Jesus preached forgiveness etc. But was not Paul handpicked by Jesus himself? Aren't Paul's words to have major impact as well? If you think it's a personal opinion then how can anyone take anything Paul says any other way? Either it's his personal opinion, or it's holy spirit. Which is it?

  what happens when the rules regarding medical treatment are changed because it is now decided that the watchtower god does allows certain blood fractions after all but which formerly the wts said would offend him so much that offenders would be sent to gehenna?.

  blood serums are just one example.

  in 1954 the societys ruling on blood serums disallowed their use because using blood serums was displeasing to god.

  Paul pointed out that the church must explain to this person what he is doing wrong and IF he understands that what he is doing is wrong and continues to do so, that they should send him on his way and not deal with him at all.

  I have no idea if I am doing this right. I am trying to put the above text into a quote box. When you say not deal with him at all, does that not mean shunning. To have no dealings with someone.... What else could it mean?

  I just love this song. Wished I could have sang it before I left. I would tear this song up! I have training from song and dance from New York back in my younger years. I notice that there are MANY members here. Is there anyway that there is another website or maybe I could PM someone to explain the crap I am going through? Is there an apostate counselor for ones that just left?

  AGuest, So what is faithful? Having sex with another man's wife is being unfaithful right? Killing him too? So I do ask in humbleness, what is faithfulness? What is unfaithfulness? A man touched the ark and was killed by God for his unfaithfulness. But David does far worse and is considered faithful. I need to know. I am having a crisis of faith and conscience right now. The society makes me feel that nothing I do is enough and I will be destroyed at the Big A anyways. I am supposed to love God with my whole heart but I never have. I like this world too much. It 's too attractive for me. What does it mean to love the world? I attended all meetings etc. but still felt like it wasn't enough. I feel upset at the crap the society has about beards and wedding rings etc.
