This is Why I Don't Like Having Pets

the cat we had seemed to be getting used to the new place, though she was hiding alot.
she would burrow herself under the sofa cushions or under our blankets.

What emotions have you been coping with?
by mochamint22 ini wanted to dedicate this posts to just talking about the emotional scars we all have had or maybe still have.
was there a gap of time between you thinking you didn't want to continue and actually, consciously, deciding to no longer continue as on of jws?
it's amazing to me the strong hold this religion puts on you.

I am in that process right now. I still believe the teachings...Luckily I don't have any family in the org. All I have is two really good friends. The brothers USED to eat at my restaurant all the time until I quit going. Now they don't return. Some love... I can't stand them now. I still have a few friends on FB though. They don't write me either. The worldly ones do all the time. I guess I was a different witness...
I still fornicated then I would repent and have private reproof...I did this a few times. I still watched Friday the 13th movies. Love em. Then I would feel guilty and sell them. Then 5 months later I would want to see them again and buy them up. I did that 8 times. Finally this year I decided to hold onto them. I also cuss in traffic. Have been doing it for years. Always felt God was going to kill me anyway but I was trying. I went to all meetings and in service. I have given it all up now. Am avoiding the Elders by saying I am going to another hall....NOW they are asking me for the PO's number etc. I am going to ignore that email until he emails again. I have a way out of them stalking me though...My wife is not in the truth. So I tell them she doesn't like it when they come by. It has worked so far.

Adultery, Forgiveness & Divorce-----WATCHTOWER STYLE
by minimus ini wonder how many have been affected by the watchtower's interpretation of these things.
i know of many many jws that "live together" only because they are married to each other.
these people almost hate each other, but would never leave their marriages and get an "unscriptural" divorce.....i know of wives that "forgave" their husbands "unknowingly".

It affected me too...My first wife and I were having problems. We started living with a MAN room mate. After a month I moved out and back to Atlanta. She refused to leave. So I told the Elders that she is LIVING with another man. She stayed there a year with this guy but since we both rented from him they said it's not enough to get a scriptural divorce...

Did your wardrobe of clothes change when you left the JW'S
by Hairyhegoat inmine did and i have not put a suit on since escaping the cult.
the mrs has given all but 1 away to the charity shops and i have loads more room in me wardrobe now.
what items of clothing did you get rid of when you got out of the cult ?

Yeah suits aren't evil....I love wearing them from time to time. I pull that whole Tom Cruise look from Risky Business. The dark business jacket with jeans and white tennis shoes. I am dead sexay!
