Yes Welcome to the board...This board has helped me SO much. I left recently. Last November. I even came onto this board a year before that trying to witness here....LOL....After feeling so angry at a WT telling me to do more even though I was a piosneer I came onto this board and started reading. I discover new things here everyday.
The society lied to us so I have no problem lying to them. I have faded but give them the impression I am attending in a foreign language.

my father who has never been a jw had a visit from a brother in a congo in his territory.
he usually comes over at least one time a week and places magazines and shoots the breeze with him about different issues.
this last visit though left a sour taste with him.
Agreed Sinis but it is the special kinds....Watch Youtubes Chris Rock about Black people vs. N!ggas. It is right on! But the same could go for White people vs. Rednecks.
i could go on and on about all the things i loved, but i'll keep it brief and just mention one, rather trivial thing: music.
i love grunge and punk, and occasionally heavy metal, and can't listen to a lot of it as a witness..

I am doing some of those things now. Halloween, Christmas, etc. I am reading books on WRESTLING and fantasy. I have R rated movies. It just keeps getting better and better.

I am dealing with that now. It is so sad for me. All those years wasted on so called friends. None have called me since I moved to Mexico in these 4 years. HAve I called them? About 6 times each. They have never even asked for my phone number. LOUSY people!
hey all, i'm still embroiled in my ongoing debate w/a few jw's and now we're on this tangent where they are saying that jws are the most peaceful and law abiding people in comparison to other religious people.
i said that's not true, there's been many news articles that detail various crimes committed by jws.
i couldn't find anything right away when i did a google search, so can someone point me to some threads or links that contain recent and past articles of jw's in trouble w/the law or who have committed crimes?.
Am curious to know why people can post a pic of someone who did wrong but I cannot name a person that did it without it being erased?

I am discovering who I am because it has only been 6 months now. Really....I think I am discovering my inner redneck. I am getting into guns etc. whereas before I never would have. I am getting into gardening whereas before I would have left it to the new world...
it seems that religion has always been considered the opium of the people.
or at least many tend to gravitate towards religion to have or solidify some sort of future with a supreme being overlooking them hoping to have a reward either in heaven or in the jehovah's witnesses case - living forever in a " paradise earth ".
it seems that people can't just live day to day and let each day come to them with whatever happens.
I agree....Worldwide economic collapse. That must be the Great Tribulation.
