I think a compelling argument could be made that “sexual assault” wasn’t even viewed as a thing in Biblical times.
Sure, it happened, but given that daughters, sisters, and wives were first and foremost property, the OT penalties mandated for such offences more closely resembled the kind of things imposed on someone guilty of theft or vandalism.

and my next favourite female protagonist is ellen ripley, played by sigourney weaver.. ripley only just survived in ridley scott's alien (1979).. the sequel, james cameron's aliens (1986), was mostly about ripley overcoming her trauma from the first film.. she also ends up seriously kicking ass.. ripley is probably my favourite protagonist of all time.. the following clip is lovely.

Of course, he conveniently forgets to mention that members are (directly or indirectly) threatened with church discipline themselves (official or otherwise) if they actually choose to exercise that right.
