The fact that this IS tolerated, however (and seems to have been for some time, now), suggests that the Org leadership is, in fact, perfectly hunky-dory with “apostate” material…
…as long as they’re benefiting from it.

It’s right up there with the mandate for WT reps to deliberately seek all available opportunities for tax-exemption… that the Org is, in fact, entitled to it.

I am literally laughing out loud reading this… my wife is calling out “WTF?” from the next room.
How has no one caught this before?
from the earliest of times of the catholic church's ecumenical councils were used to make major changes to its doctrinal direction.
decisions were made by bishops, they were ratified by the pope ... and it was done.
and the laity had to accepted them or not.. and while splinter catholic religions accepted most of these councils, non-trinitarian faiths which developed latter (of which jehovah's witnesses are apart) did not.

i know that the mormons teach that satan and jesus are brothers, but the question i would like to ask is:.
does the watchtower teach this as well?
In the Lucifer TV series, Luci and Michael were twin brothers (both played by Tom Ellis in some really fun scenes).
No mention of Jesus that I recall, though, other than a clever line of blink-and-you-miss-it throwaway dialogue in one episode.
On a semi-related note…
…I half-expected the characters to drop a Jesus joke in the Omnipotence City scenes of Thor: Love and Thunder, but I guess the filmmakers weren’t brave enough.
