phoenix rising - "Just like in Scientology they are too stupid to know that this kind of tyrannical behavior only makes more warriors..."
I know, right?
Someone at WTHQ really should Google "The Streisand Effect".
its amazing how the cult has changed over the years.
they are now suing everyone who has books or internet presences critical of the cult.
this was never done that i can remember before.

this particular question or evaluation of the people who are participating jws has come up before in debate.
the more one deeply analyzes this the answer usually comes up in the affirmative yes.
when you consider the fact that jws members will abandon their own family, go as far as kill themselves under the direction of these men, it really confirms just how deep the mental and conscious indoctrination these men have gone.. .
Another thing I just thought of...
...
...GB members have always been (or claimed to be) members of the "Anointed", remember?
How many of us have met partakers over the course of our lives, and not found them at least a little... off?
firstly for anyone leaving is don’t get involved in alcohol, drugs, parties, and sleeping around, because it will just come back and bite you in the arse.. i have a theory that those who leave the religion at an older age do better than those who leave at a younger age.
i think to that the reasons for leaving are quite different between the age groups.
i sometimes wonder if many of the under 30’s use the short comings of the religion, as an excuse to pursue the above mentioned life style.
joe134cd - "...I have a theory that those who leave the religion at an older age do better than those who leave at a younger age... I think too that the reasons for leaving are quite different between the age groups..."
Agreed.
Based on my observation...
...young folks who leave do so typically because sometimes it's just too hard to follow all the rules (I personally suspect it's due to being typically outgoing/extroverted individuals who simply need a fuller life just to feel whole, whereas introverts and the socially awkward have a much easier time of it, but I could be wrong)...
...whereas older folks usually WTexit because they've figured out it's not actually The Truth.
There's always exceptions to both, of course.
how many kingdom halls are there worldwide?
even better how many in the years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.. i'm asking this to get a picture of the total real estate owning of the jw and how this become to the money-cow in these days..
Don't know the exact stats...
...but...
...we hear way more reports or closures and sales then we do of new construction.
...
Coincidentally enough, said sales seem to correlate pretty close to court settlements/fines.
Can't imagine why.
nice to be here.
still a pimo and struggling through my fade.
i still have several jw friends on social media.
Davros - "...There was even an increase in disfellowshipping and reproving after Obama first got elected because there were many JWs in the US who went out and voted for him..."
Funny, I'd have thought that any JW who voted on the sly would've leaned more rightward.
Maybe the bulk of them were from the West Coast, though... I've heard a lot of Californian JWs are pretty liberal in attitude.
why are taxi firms still operating during a "deadly pandemic?".
i was shopping yesterday and saw taxi after taxi picking people & their shopping up at the supermarket.
none of the drivers or any of the passengers wore masks or gloves, nor did they keep any distance from each other - in or out of the car.. the drivers all helped to load the bags into the boots/trunks of their cars.taxi-drivers must be seriously at risk of catching/spreading covid 19...
Anony Mous - "This whole lock down is done to control people, to destroy the economy and to implement socialist ideals on redistribution of wealth, government income etc..."
Awesome!
All hail the Neworldordereptilianuminati!!!

At this rate, Scientology is gonna have to sue them before too long...
...for violating copyright infringement on their playbook.
i’ve been thinking about it for a few weeks and i’m sort of surprised that no one else has introduced this topic!.
what better time than now for a fader to fade?
no meetings, no field service, no elder visits, no assemblies, no convention, and no other bullshit busy work going on.
Phizzy - "...May the Exodus begin."
There's many different kinds of exodus.
As far as I'm concerned, we are the Exodus.
do you have any evidence that the gb had bad intent?
as opposed to blind faith/cognitive dissonance and honest mistakes.. i'm inclined to think they have the best of intentions and are just wrong (primarily because the bible is wrong), but i'm willing to consider the evidence otherwise..
AllTImeJeff - "...I was at Gilead a long time ago and met the then existing GB. I can only provide my anecdotal opinion that most of the GB believes their own bullshit about being 'chosen leaders', and it is highly likely that they know a lot of their prophecies are false..."
Like I keep saying...
...they know it's wrong... but believe it's true...
...at the same time.
