“Why does God need to be worshipped?”
The answer is right there in the question.
He’s needy.

the bible exhorts us to “worship the one who made the heaven and the earth and sea and fountains of waters.”—deuteronomy 4:24; revelation 14:7.. insight on the scriptures, volume 2 pp 1200-1202. worshipone of the hebrew words conveying the idea of worship (ʽa·vadhʹ) basically means “serve.” (ge 14:4; 15:13; 29:15) serving or worshiping jehovah required obedience to all of his commands, doing his will as a person exclusively devoted to him.
(ex 19:5; de 30:15-20; jos 24:14, 15) therefore, for an individual to engage in any ritual or act of devotion toward any other gods signified his abandoning true worship.—de 11:13-17; jg 3:6, 7.another hebrew term that can denote worship is hish·ta·chawahʹ, which primarily means “bow down” (ge 18:2), or do obeisance.
(see obeisance.

i have a few jw relatives who are true believers.
by this i mean, they believe with all their heart that 1914 was the beginning of the last days, that this is the last generation, that we are in the very last of the last hour of this system of things, and that you should obey the governing body even if it does not make sense.
all of them are in their 60s and up into their 90s there is nothing you can say or show them to convince them or even cause a small doubt that the wt is not god organization.
Taking my thoughts to the next iteration, I think we can guesstimate just how many people would stay devoted to the Org right to the end.
Given all the available anecdotal evidence and our own personal observations, I’d say that only about 10-15% of active members are true Loyalists.
And what’s more, on some level the leadership knows this and wants to prune the R&F down to just these.
if your sex is only what you say it is, without any reference to biological reality, .
your race can be only what you say it is, without any reference to biological reality.. .
is this repudiation of science?

IMO, the number of "True Believers" is academic, since - as has been demonstrated here - its definition is so fluid.
"Loyalists" might be a better focus.
And this should be a little easier, simply because all you have to do is make a guess based on your own congregation (assuming you're still in one).
If you know approximately how many people are in your Hall, and you have a pretty good idea how many full-on loyalists are in your Hall, it's pretty basic math.
Then, simply view a JW congregation as the Org in microcosm.
translation - these two appeal files relate to the same judgment of the superior court, district of montreal rendered 27 february 2019 and rectified on 11 march 2019, which first rejects the request for a declinatory exception made by the appellant (wtpa) and which grants the request for authorization of a class action against the latter and against the other appellant (wtc), in addition to granting the status of representative to the respondent for the group described below:.
all persons who are or have been jehovah's witnesses and who allege to have been sexually assaulted in quebec, while they are minors, by a person occupying the role of elder (the subgroup of sexual assault by the elders).
all persons who are or have been jehovah's witnesses and who allege that they were sexually assaulted in quebec, when they were underage, by a jehovah's witness (the subgroup of sexual assault by jehovah's witnesses).
Aaaaand the WT's loss of tax-exemption up here in the Great White North just inched a little closer (IMO, we've always had more in common with Australia than we do with the USA, anyway.)
And if the Watchtower opted NOT to appeal to the Canadian SC, you gotta know that it's 'cause their lawyers advised them that their chances of success weren't worth the risk (they'd be pretty piss-poor lawyers if they didn't, after all).
someone i know from england is a nurse.
she told me there was an outbreak at the hospital and she got the virus after being vaccinated.
she said she was told it probably would have been much worse for her had she not gotten vaccinated.
Minimus - "...and afterwards you don’t come down with a slight case of the measles, mumps and so forth."
See my post literally two entries above this one.
most republican senators believe, as i do that you can’t impeach and convict a president unless he is in office.
with the opposing sides thinking, perhaps obama, bush clinton and carter could have their records reviewed and face the political punishment of impeachment and conviction after their presidency ended too?.
Gosh, Wiz, don't hold back...
...tell us how you really feel.

People sometimes get a mild case of an illness specifically from a vaccine shot.
As I understand it, it can be part of the actual immunization process... you have to have a pathogen present in your bloodstream for your immune system to create antibodies to it, after all.
It happened to me with my measles vaccination when I was a kid.
when i was a kid in the late sixties the type of books we would study was very intense compared to the bull shit pablum that they put out today?
i mean the finished mystery and others now its these stupid books that don't dive deep into the beliefs.
.
Another significant cause of the dialed-down nature of the publications is that original WT Oracle Fred Franz kicked the bucket without leaving any kind of successor... in no small part because - as a True Believer (like the rest of the WT leadership) - he fully bought into everything he was writing*.
As admittedly skilled at word-smithing as he was, it never even would have occurred to him to take on any kind of protege, because the End was always the day after tomorrow.
Couple that with Ted Jaracz using 9-11 fear to purge virtually all the moderates and liberals from WTHQ, and there are virtually no creative-types and outside-the-box thinkers left... the very people with the vital innovative and narrative chops needed to perform any kind effective theological overhaul for the 21st Century.
As a result, the Org is stuck with a decades-old Cold-War-centric eschatology, a bare-bones-educated and -staffed writing pool, and fuck-all imagination.
Not a recipe for literary robustness.

*Like I've said before, a really easy habit to fall into when you're convinced God whispers in your ear and you're surrounded solely with people who are never allowed to disagree with you.
see this video at 2:58. sanity4sweden explains that 'cult expert' steve hassan was on cnn giving advice on how to deprogram trump supporters.. https://www.bitchute.com/video/3plguubdsjs/.
so this must be political correctness on steroids.. i have occasionally heard the name steve hassan mentioned in relation to the watchtower.
but even watchtower helps people to escape cults.
perdurabo - "I feel we are in a Milgram experiment right now."
Okay, but who's running it?
The Illuminati?
The Reptilians?
The militant branch of the Salvation Army?
