Yup.
I blame most of their current problems on Ted Jaracz’s legacy…
…but that one’s all on Fred Franz.

'many survivors of clergy sexual abuse have never received an apology or any acknowledgement of the harm they suffered.
but at the may 3, 2024, meeting of the general conference of the worldwide united methodist church in charlotte, north carolina, the following resolution of apology to all survivors and their families was approved.. .
“the united methodist church apologizes for the times we allowed our desire to protect the church to outweigh our desire to care for victims and survivors of sexual misconduct.
There’ve been rumblings that WT higher-ups half-expect CSA to actually sink the Org sooner rather than later, likely as a result of the Pedo database (and more importantly, the accused GB member names listed in it) being publicly exposed.
IF that’s actually the case…
…a vocal and steadfast refusal to apologize (for anything, really)* would absolutely factor into it.
*…particularly in the face of other, far more prominent religions actually doing so…
we've got some really knowledgeable members on here so i have a question for them and everybody.
what was the earliest adjective used to describe the snake of genesis 3:1?
currently one can read words in english translations like 'cunning' and 'crafty'....but in other languages you see words like 'wise' and astute...which convey a completely different idea.. i'm wondering what may have been the earliest and most accurate adjective known or used.

“…It was during this period that Christianity developed the idea that Jesus was likely divine, and thus an ‘archenemy’ in the Devil made more and more sense…”
Every hero needs a nemesis.
Holmes and Moriarty.
Optimus and Megatron.
The Powerpuff Girls and Mojo Jojo.

you as a bible researchers, refused the catholicism, but still use the books which catholic church defined as the source of truth.

“Did you consider Paul a false prophet?”
Meh, no more than any other.
Bit more of a dick, though. 😏
my wife of many years is more-or-less pomo, but she still (nominally) believes in jehovah and the bible.. she raised her eyebrows when she realized the full scope of the csa problem… rolled her eyes when letto the clown called babies “little enemies of god”… but today, we apparently crossed a real threshold….
…her response to the governing body being referred to as “our future kings” was….
…“what????!!!!!”.

it is proposed to the seimas not to grant state recognition to the religious community of jehovah's witnesses.
lithuania05/05/2024 09:30. jehovah's witnesses; baptism associative / e. ovcharenko / bns photo.. it is proposed to the seimas to refuse to grant state recognition to the lithuanian jehovah's witnesses religious community.. community representatives told bns that they hope that parliamentarians, taking into account the practice of the european court of human rights, will make a different decision.. the draft resolution registered by the chairman of the human rights committee of the seimas, tomas vytautas raskevičius, states that this community does not meet the requirements of the constitution and the law, that its education and rites do not conflict with laws and decency.. "the ministry of justice has determined that the religious teaching of this community is possibly not compatible with the constitution of our country in two aspects.
the first is that jehovah's witnesses oppose blood transfusions due to certain aspects related to health care (...).
nicolau - “For decades the Watchtower have kicked out members who didn't fully align with the organisation's rules and values. Karma's a bitch.”
“So that’s what that feels like.”
the watchtower society wants money, money and more money!.
the watchtower society has for some time now, secretly admired the harlotrous ways of her wicked counterpart, christendom.
yes, the many advantages christendom has gained over the years, adroitly avoiding any 'pains of life', persecution, or discomforts that are the result of maintaining a chaste and virtuous standing before jehovah.
I would argue that they need it more than they want it.
These are great, Simon…
…right up there with the classic knock-knock meme.
😁👍
only its benefits will be everlasting.
(for the earthly 2nd class sheep).
w80 7/1 p. 31 - questions from readers - why does the november 15, 1979, issue of the watchtower (pages 26, 27) speak of the “new covenant” being near the end of its operation, when hebrews 13:20 speaks of this covenant as being “an everlasting covenant”?
Every Bible writer was wrong.
Even the ones who were right.
