I think at this point, the reasons why Russel and Rutherford were wrong are kind of moot.
The way I see it, the WTS’s illegitimacy is due to it being an authoritarian high-control group.
Everything else about them that’s wrong essentially stems from that.

They apparently had a thing down in Florida not too long ago where they were getting COs up to speed on updates to the Org’s eschatology (Fred Franz’s old Cold-War-centric narrative was increasingly untenable, obviously).
Pretty sure the new-and-improved version has left plenty of wiggle room for that aspect (not to mention minimizing the UN’s role as a villain).

a) …they’re waiting till the ratio of those who’ll leave vs. those who’ll stay (or those who’ll sue vs. those who won’t) has reached a critical point… i.e. when the blowback will be at a minimum, or…
b) …(more pragmatically) when their tax-exemption is at risk.

they do not approve of independent pro-jw forums.
this would also fall in line of there being no independent study groups, on the internet, or elsewhere.. for that matter, they do not approve of jws posting on behalf of their religion on social media, “apostate” websites, or anywhere else on the internet.
