So if Russell was the "greater" John the Baptist paving the way for the GB...
by goatshapeddemon in... what does that make the "governing body"????????.
wait for it....... yes, the greater jesus.
they stopped short of saying that in the july 15 wt (all they said was that russell was the greater john the baptist), but what other conclusion is there, especially since now they're going to rule with jesus over the messianic kingdom.. talk about a messiah complex.

YES Goat, I just started a post on this a few days ago. Something like " Come to the NEW Jesus to be saved "
I spotted that in the new WT and was thinking on the same line as you. They stopped short of calling the GB Jesus, but if you read between the lines.......I think they said something about the ORG and we know the ORG and the GB are the same.
They are getting SO BOLD ! This is brazen conduct for sure ! They are an awfully bossy slave if you ask me.....lol

Yes POF ( plenty of fish ) My sister met her BF there. She was looking for someone who lived on the water, with a boat. First time she went to his house, guess what he had on his end table ??????? A NWT of the bible lol. They just recently broke up after 3 years.
He had once been married to a JW, but was never one himself. At least POF is free ! But you may have to search through a lot of losers.

There is no doubt that Adam wasn't the first man. How do believers get around that small fact?
by jam inusing bible in determing the date of the creation of adam .
anyone in their right mind believe this to be true in today age.. don,t you think this nullify the whole bible?

St George, TY so much for the new lite....lol So ..... ( if this were me ) Let me get this straight. I wait untill my dads grandson is old enough to marry. That would be my nephew right ? .
Stll wondering why all the young ones wanted to get away from their family? Adam and eve, Cain and Abel must have been a real drag. You know cramping their style. Too many rules at home. What a joke !

Good time for R&F to preemptively question GB validity
by irondork inwith the new light in the july 15 watchtower, now might be the perfect time for rank and file members to question wether or not the big boys are who they say they are.
in light of the fact that the men who claim to be the sole channel of communication for all mankind could not even grasp their own identity for the last 100 years, wouldn't now be a good time to turn the tables on the elders who are so quick to drag a questioning dub to the back room and demand loyalty to the governing body?.
wouldn't now be a good time to put the july 15 watchtower in the middle of the table and ask to see the credentials on these men without fear of being suspected of apostacy?

Sammie, I love your reasoning. I get it. Makes perfect sense ........But JW's will have every excuse in the world.
It's still fun to see them try to get out of what they said before.

Don't call me Shirley, One really funny response I got from one of my moms older JW friends....In the end , when I told her it was in the WT she said " I don't read the WT anyhow " Granted she is old ( but still has weekly parties ) but I thought it was strange . ha ha
Yes, they only can think when it comes to OTHER people.
When it comes to the GB they are brain dead.
