  Building Momentum

  if i were to count the time when i was fading, although at the time i had never heard of that concept nor was i determined to never go back to the kh, then it has been about 4 years since i stopped doing the typical things a jw stays busy with.... .

  mostly, i think i was thinking about this because of the concerns from all the newer members, wondering where and how to fill their lives post-wts.. it has taken a while, but i am finally getting integrated into real life, about 4 months out from an associate of applied science degree (trying to hold onto a 3.98 gpa!

  ), a board member for the last year with a local chapter of a national advocacy group, a volunteer at the local museum/cultural center, about to become a volunteer with the local community theater, and a few other things that are opportunities to meet and work with people who dont waste their lives in the manner of a typical jw.

  have a full and busy life. Your doing some great things. Good for you!! I got a little tired reading your post,I need a nap ! LOL LOL LOL

  those who claim to speak on behalf of a god and claim to have his authority are often left at liberty to blur the lines.

  without actually accepting these leaders as "god" their followers, through their actions, come to recognize the leaders authority as being a god.. is there much difference between a god that says you cannot touch that apple tree and a wt dictate that you cannot read unauthorized material?.

  what promise did the apple hold?

  you really can't make this stuff up.

  but an organization like the wt society bent on controlling virtually every aspect of the typical jehovah's witness life - would make this up to keep their control through the use of fear and guilt.

  so- i thought i'd share what i thought was the strangest, most offensive, weird language dealing with what the wt society calls " disfellowshipping offenses " .

  here's my premise; one day, out of the blue, you are asked to consult with the gb.

  your told that they have 'new light', armageddon is a spiritual battle and they have 'awakened' to the fact that this system of things will not be going away anytime soon, perhaps not for another 2,000 years!

  with this new understanding they realize that just about everything is going to have to change if they want to survive as an organization.. to deal with this new reality now and into the future they would like to hear ideas that are practical, spiritual, nurturing, helpful and stimulating.. .

  Finally, so cool that you could see through JW with no help but your own MIND...I needed COC and in SOCF to help me.....Now my mom says she never thought the big A would come in 1975 what??????????? my response. I wish you would have told me ....she is totally brain washed . She's 86, so I don't want to rain on her parade.................... just a few sprinkles LOL THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE FOR THE WELCOME.................still a little out of control..................

  hello knowledgeable people.. i am looking for advise on home owners insurance.

  we've lived in the same house of 12 years and had the same home owners insurance for 12 years.

  every year the insurance goes up about $100.00.

  Had a small claim with State Farm years ago..Only lived in the home a few months when there was a big rain. Had a fireplace and vaulted ceiling that slanted down to meet a beezeway room that led to garage. They sent someone out from two hours away. the leak was from the fireplace and it ran down the ceiling into breezeway.The question was "when did this happen?" answer sat. night ... question "when did you note water on ceiling in beezeway? answer "a few hours later ,one am sun. Answer from her" That's two seperate claims " (your kidding me ,it took that long for it to run down my vauted ceiling) living room repair 720.00- 500.00 deductable breezeway repair 540.00-500.00 total repair 1,260.00 heres your ck for 260.00 how much did they Pay for woman to drive out and back plus time at my house 4 or 5 hours total ..plus gas)( ??????? Of course I called my agent.... she said "no way, I will look into that..... result....... your right.... I can't belive it....... I also have a horror story involving my mom, a woman hit her car . The woman had State Farm That is the way it is FL. Dicked her around for a month THEY WANTED HER CAR THEY GOT IT She had to climb over from the passanger side to drive she was 80.. Sent someone out 2 times taking pics you may think she had a lexis no a DODGE SHADOW SHE ENDED UP HAVING A HEART ATTACK.......... I HATE HATE HATE THAT COMPANY!!!!!!
