  Things we have WANTED rather badly in our lives....

  i was at work yesterday at the bookstore.. watching a mom and her little boy.... the kid was really really wanting something or other and the mom was drawing the line and telling him "no".. he was having a come-apart over it.

  some little book or movie.

  to him it was a big deal.. .

  I wanted to take roller skating lessons soooooo bad . They offered them at noon on sat. then you could stay for the reg. afternoon skating. It was only an extra dollor more then the fee for the afternoon skate. Well you all know that was not going to happen, and all of you know why. ..........SERVICE!!!

  I too wanted cats.....loved cats.....brought home strays all the time. Sometimes after begging and begging they would let me keep one. They were never around long maybe a yr or so since they were indoor outdoor and never fixed. Then I saw a Siamese in the paper for 10 dollors. My mom drove into the slums of Detriot to get it for me. We didn't even know about litter boxes, so she was indoor outdoor too. Needless to say, she was ripped off before the month was over. Now I have an exotic.......gotta have a cat.......a little girl said that to me once. So funny!

  White go go boots with the zipper in the back.. Every girl in the neighborhood was parading down the street in their white go go boots. That was a big NO NO NO !

  she provided a scan of the 2-1-77 watchtower that gave instructions to have the wt study paragraphs read first, then the questions propounded.. prior to that, the questions were asked first, then paragraphs were read.. i attended my first kh meeting in 1973; i was quite perplexed by the study method because i could see that the magazine was given preference over the bible.. thanks, blondie!

  I got two........funny thing is the girl that brings me the mags, keeps bringing double, sometimes triple the mags....she sure places alot. Her report must look real good , all the hours she spends visiting me. All the books and mags she places with me. ( Shes never opened the bible once ) Since I dont know anyone here in IL, I enjoy her visits, she has a great personality and is really funny. She gets my humor! She confides in me,things she could never tell her JW friends......she says I shouldn't be telling you this but.................She knows I will never have a bible study. I already know more about what JW teach than she does. Shes only been around them for 12 yrs......she doesn't even remember 75. lol

  james olsen and richaed wheellock both bethelites.. rich templet.

  rich and james out of guilt, richard out of depression.. james and rich were both under 30 years old.. after richard wheelock (a bethel heavy) killed himself the society changed it's stand on whether suicides could be resurrectioned or not..

  Dude...Memorial on Sunday? and the Battle for sd-7 Continues

  i've gotten past much of my grieving over the whole marriage-destruction thing, largely by drowning out reality.

  i've been even more of a movie-head than usual--and that's saying an awful lot.

  also, the quality of my meals has gone down considerably.

  I also think you should go, If that will make her happy. Once a year is not to much to ask. I would go to midnight mass once a year if it was really important to my husband. Can't you agree to disagree about religion? There's so much more to a marriage than that. At least you won't have to make small talk with the JW on that night. lol

  they come up with a business scheme that they think will yield the greatest revenue.

  well, i am almost finished reading crisis of conscience... i have a few pages left and i have to say that my eyes have been opened.

  i am going to order ray's second book from freeminds.

  maybe not right away.... might try to let it all sink in and process.... does anyone have a concise comment on what ray's final beliefs were before he died?

  You are going to love Ray's second book, In search of christian freedom. It goes into alot of detail. My copy is well worn and highlighted! I know Ray never excepted the trinity. Didn't believe in a literal 144,000, and still believed in no hell. He always pointed to Jesus as the way.

  Seems like when he first started on fox he was more mild mannered. As time went on he became quite outrageous. The more outrageous he became, the more his ratings went up.. That was working really well for him , so............

  he continued . The more he turned up the volume, the more money he made. I liked him better when he talked instead of screamed.I can't say I blame him. He's making a good living. It's all an act!!!!

  this place has become far to jw ish for my liking.. free expression and rights to make reply are shut down by those who hold the key.. this forum is turning into an uber christian outreach program with those who take umbridge to them getting locked and deleted threads.

  it would perhaps not be so bad if the moderators actually communicated to people such as myself rather than cold cutting.

  they complain when we make a public outcry and tell us it belongs in a private message, yet cannot see 'the straw in their own eye' and do not use the private messages to communicate why they have done what they do.

  AGuest.........seems to me that your a loving and caring person.....your love shines through! We need everyone that's here...here! The balanced ones like Flipper . the smart ones like............. well you know who you are. The funny ones like Outlaw... it's all good, and makes the forum GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!
