In Ray Franz's book he mentions that the Society became alot less rigid after WW2. The late forties was a period where the Society left alot of things up to a witnesses conscience, including abortion. In the early fifties the Watchtower started controlling witnesses lives once more, and the Society became stricter and stricter. I believe that things were lax in the late forties because the asshole dictator Rutherford was dead and Nathan Knorr and Fred Franz didn't want to create enemies within the Watchtower by pushing people around like Rutherford did. After Nathan and Fred were comfortable in their new positions, they ruled with an iron fist. All the Society is experiencing now is a power transition and I believe that once again in the future they will rule the dubs with severe strictness.

by Amazing inright now my body is half shaven with needle marks and bruises everywhere.
if i were stopped on the streets of chicago looking like this, staggering with fatigue, i would be arrested.
something we men have a hard time getting through our thick heads is that just because we feel basically okay, does not mean that we can or should do a lot physically after a traumatic event ... and i found this out by doing a little too much walking at the hospital chest tightened, became out of breath, and got dizzy.

by refiners fire injehovahs witness prophetic failure is not simply a matter of failed dates.. there are a whole lot of other aspects to the prophetic expectation.. just with regards to "1975", two aspects immediately spring to mind.. the decline of world religion and the ensuing attack upon religion by the united nations.. both of these "prerequisites" to the 1975 armaggedon have now slipped into distant memory, and are now forgotten.
they are hardly mentioned any more in watchtowers.just to remind doubters what was said.... .

Farkel is a lot of fun. His writing style has helped a lot of dubs leave the org. He helped me. When I came on H20 I hated Farkel. Now I love him. You tell me....I am trying to figure out his magic. Yes...he is everything that you all have imagined, but I want to make a few things clear. He does not walk around with a lap top, posting posts against the Watchtower at his leisure, and he does not walk around with a pickett sign that says:"The Watchtower Sucks!!!!". He looks ten years younger than his age....but the piano...God can he play!!!!! This guy played Chopin for us, and I can tell you that Chopin's music looks like a seismigraph chart that had barley soup spilled on it during a major earthquake. He is an incredible musician!! Farkel would like to meet a nice ex-witness girl, but it seems that most ex-witness girls are all messed up. Are there any normal ex-witness girls on this board??
