i wonder how the local police would veiw me if i turned in a time slip of good deeds in my community. i feed the homeless 3 times helped an old lady cross the street got 2 cats out of trees. lol how stupid would they think i am?

Are They Cynically Shutting Down The Organization?

changes in the watchtower may be guided by more than a need for cash flow: they may simply be liquidating/shutting it down as discreetly as possible.. of course, this doesn't mean they stop working on their upstate ny country club - but it could mean that the throrough going exposure and disproof of their beliefs on the internet, when it emerged, took many of them by surprize, as it did many of us!
after awhile, they generally gave up trying to make any sense of their doctrines - and coupled with cash flow issues - moved towards a quiet retreat.. take a look at a few things:.

What I think about the "We just love this idea" of David Splane
by Gorbatchov inthe jw.org video about the annual meeting contains david splane saying "we just love this idea", when talking about the adjusted fds doctrine.
"we just love this idea"????
when it becomes one of the fundament teachings of the organisational part of a religion, the rank-and-file witnesses are expected to be convinced about these kind of doctrines.

Similarities between Roman Catholics and Jehovah`s Witnesses
by smiddy inboth claim to be the sole path to god (or did at some point ).
both claim to reach back to first century christians ,( though jw`s are a bit ambiguous about this).
the r.c church has a pope , the j.w.`s have a governing body ,both providing spiritual food to the faithful.

talked to wife about new light!
by unstopableravens ini showed my wife the new light, it did not go over good.
i started with all the publications and asked her three questions 1 who is the fds 2when did they start 3 when did they get appointed over "all the belongings"?
using the recent publications she said 1 the fds is 144000 2 they started in the 1st centry 3 they were over all belongings in 1919. then i showed her the annual meeting report on the jw.org and went over each point.

i just want to say thanks for everyone thoughts about my last few post. though i strongly disagree with many about god vs atheist(i do believe in god ) that is not a topic i wish to debate. i have great respect for everyone hear. we all have something in common and its a experaince with the wt and for the most part its negative. so im glad to be able to hear from people who care and know what im going through. so just saying im grateful, some of my christian friends i have are there for me but they have not walked in my shoes like you guys have!
