ok sorry about my comments about mexico and mexicans. After all I might have to start mowing my lawn and that would suck. Then who make make fast food and take all those jobs that people say mexicans take because nobody wants them. Society would collapse for sure. Wait did you know that when a mexican crosses into the U.S. they are in the negative for taxes for the first 50 years they are here. So its mexico and mexicans that should thank me and everyone else that pays taxes for you to give you a better life.

Bizarre statement in April 2012 Awake
by dozy inas books go, it is tiny, but it is immeasurably great in its essence.
it can be carried in ones pocket, but if it were found in a library of 90,000 different books, it would probably turn out to be the most important one of them all.. wow a strong endorsement of the bible?
er no this is the wtbts we are talking about here.

Confirmation bias as observed in brain scans
by SweetBabyCheezits ini thought this was an interesting study, considering the mental block that affects jws when discussing wt flip-flops or bible contradictions.. .
http://www.michaelshermer.com/2006/07/the-political-brain/.
a recent brain-imaging study shows that our political predilections are a product of unconscious confirmation biasthe human understanding when it has once adopted an opinion ... draws all things else to support and agree with it.

I have always said I can pick either side of an argument and can make myself believe in either side, then I can make a better defense for it and offense lol

The ten commandments sound like something a young boy comes up with when he makes a club to keep girls out and select friends in.
I'm Jason.
My club is called Jasons club
Everyone gets pieces of paper that are cards that prove you belong.
Each paper says "Jason is boss or president"
My best friend Jack is vice president of our club"
since i am boss you will listen to everything i say and come up with or you will be kicked out of my club

Did Jesus sacrifice really mean anything?
by highdose insuspending for a minute the realisation that it never happened and instead looking at it as a beliver would.... jesus had to endure a painful death, yes.
but he knew that he would only be dead for three days and that afterwards he would get reserected and be able to mind f**k around with those who had put him to death.
and then he would live for ever in a brand new body!

Falling Away
by Blueblades ini understand that between 1970 and 1995, one-third of the jehovah's witnesses worldwide left the organization.
the figure is 55% for those in the u.s.a.these figures would seem to mean that there are a lot of dissatisfied jw's!
if you were to ask a jw's,why so many would want to leave if there is such a wonderful atmosphere of love among the witnesses, could they give you a good reason?

sic semper. there is obviously division among different areas. As everyone is not in agreement. Some people say we turned the corner. Some people say its happening rite now, some say last days, last hours, last whatever. Apparently gods organization isnt as in harmony with eachother as they previously thought.

Which generation do you belong to ?
by edmond dantes inask a witness which generation do you belong to and see if they really know how to answer.. i have decided that every time i hear a true definition of the meaning of a generation i will post it here just to reinforce the true meaning just in case a stray jw happens to look in on here.. yesterday evening i was watching an antiques programme on the television and under discussion was a very well made baby high chair from about the nineteen thirties and the approximate date of manufacture and the length of time it had been in the family.
the expert then went on to confim how old it was and in doing so said that considering who first purchased the chair and the length of a generation that it was from the thirties and went on to say that we consider a generation to be about 25 years.. that is a truer definition of a generation than a watchtower definition.. .

therueone. I think you hit the nail on the head. I could see them dropping 1914. I hope they dont. As long as they keep 1914 we have proof there full of shit. If they take away 1914 we still have proof. It just becomes a little harder to prove at least to jws.

I can't believe this
by truthseeker1969 inyou all know i was in the uk settling estate issues and that the elders 'wanted to chat with me".. well i left before they could have the meeting i arranged on my "free day".. they turned up at my mothers home and were livid that i had gone, but here is the kicker.. brother heavenly described me as a potential apostate for what i had done, which sent my brother over the edge and he demanded a retraction and apology which they quickly gave him.
he intends to speak with the co when he comes on the matter.. it gets better, elder ballbag actually said "apostates do more good for the congregation than they think.
they pull those who should not be part of the org and clean the congregation" .

My JW Brother-in-Law's Crisis of Conscience
by arko_n9ne inme and my brother in law share a computer at home.
we have different accounts and for the life of me, i still don't know his password.. but it hasn't stopped me from putting "apostate" literature on his desktop screen.
i am an amateur it geek who knows the ins and outs of computers, so i don't look twice at things like passwords.. anyway, a few months ago, i slipped three files onto his desktop.

Ryan, there is nothing unethical about what you did. Its theocratic warfare or reverse theocratic warfare. All is fair in love and war. It just shows you care about your family and no what kind of cult you and they are dealing with.
Steve2 ur a idiot. U dont have a clue. Ur not entitled to post stuff like you did. In fact, ur not entitled to ur own opinion on this thread. Anyone who says that ur allowed to say whatever u want, there just people that use that as an excuse to not stand up to people.
