Isnt there an upcoming watchtower article that discourages football. Also i believe at the elders schools and CO visits that they are pushing elders to not watch football. Soon appointed men will be removed for watching football.

tebow of the denver broncos is the latest in a long line of players who either thank jesus or point a finger to heaven when they score a touchdown or slam some guys head into a concussion.. oddly you don't see bowlers doing the same praise jesus dance for knocking over some pins, i guess its not that exciting to jesus .

by munchausen inannounce was made this week that the assembly halls in london, ohio and indianapolis indiana will be sold and a new 3000 seat assembly hall will be built in southwest ohio.
the assembly hall in london ohio was built in the 70's and is in fine shape - nothing wrong with it.
the new one will cost around 8-9 million.

by garyneal ini mean, this is the pivotal doctrine that will prove beyond all shadow of a doubt that this religion really is the one true religion.. why is this so?.
why not just read and study the bible and see that the witnesses adhere to it and therefore must be the one true religion?.
because a lot of what the witnesses say that bible says is merely their interpretation of the bible from my point of view.

There have been so many conversations with dubs now and in the past that ive just had to bite my tongue.
Most recently, I brought up that i enjoyed watching spongebob, someone said. "I enjoyed watching spongebob until i learned that the author said spongebob was literally gay then i quit watching it." I didnt reply to but i wanted to say something like so your so insecure about your sexuality as that it might turn you gay, or it might stir up your homosexual tendencies. I was just thinking lets just suck the fun out of everything.

Do you work with any Dubs?
by lohengren ini just found out that one of my coworkers is a witness.. it got me thinking about my past jobs.
in four out of the last five jobs i've held i have worked with witnesses.
it got me pretty paranoid at times because i was a classic "double-lifer".

serenitynow!, I remember also people saying out in service about churches, "look at the those places of false worship, those poor people think they have the truth". Or something like "those places will be destroyed." They always laughed about churches when they talked about them in service. It always made me angry. It was arrogant and disrepectful to act that way. I corrected those people in service saying that we shouldnt talk bad about other churches because children hear us saying those things and tell there grandma or relative who attends the church that there church is bad. That it would give witnesses a bad name. People were like oh my your right.

yes, they are similar, but different, topics.. specifically, we can use the nwt to show the deity of jesus and how the people/authors of his day viewed who he was.

ziddina. huge reference bible is from the kingdom hall. So it essence it was free for me. I guess it did prolly cost someone like 2 dollars to make it and expect you to donate like 20 dollars or more for it.

GOrwell. It is interesting. I have little knowledge of the trinity. I was raised a jw and know little of other religious beliefs. Im just not sure how much stock you can put into that one word especially from a bible translated to fit the agenda of a cult. Just my opinion.
