Does being a JW and having a felony up your value in the kingdom hall?
by 2tone inmaybe this has been previously been discussed.
in my area in the us.
it seems that jw men that are felons or have served time seem to have more value.

by AndersonsInfo incourt hearing results for december 6, 2011:.
steven unthank is still the acting prosecutor (and that's why he could not comment on the case on the"dialogue" program), and all 5 cases are still before the courts.
the crown informed the court that the office of public prosecutions are "acting as a facilitator at the moment"; and that the police investigation is "quite well progressed"; and that the police are awaiting response from the department of justice.. .

I dont want to be a buzz kill but i feel that this thing is going to fizzle out, with a slap on the wrist. Dont get me wrong i would love for this to get worldwide media attention and massive penalties.

I have a question regarding" free" magazines
by smiddy insince they no longer charge for mags at the doors do the publishers carry this cost ?i used to be a literature servant and you never gave away mags unless they were old and out of date to be left at doctors waiting rooms etc.
not at peoples homes ,otherwise householders would expect to get them for free.
in other words do the publishers pay for the mags and give them away for free?

Nobody pays for them upfront. Actually ive never received money from a house holder for any literature ever. I know pioneers then drop off loads of brand new magazines at the begining of the month at doctors offices and other businesses to make there time sheets look like they placed alot of literature when in fact there numbers are just inflated

Maybe this has been previously been discussed. In my area in the US. It seems that JW men that are felons or have served time seem to have more value. For example, this guy was a jw and got released from prison and the sisters were all talkin about him and what a great marriage mate he would make. I was like what makes him great, what that he can work at mcdonalds for the rest of his life. I always joked that I should say I have a felony or went to prison because it will up my value with the girls, lol. Another time a jw got released from prison. He attended the kingdom hall the first opportunity he got. Everyone acted liked he was the greatest thing ever and he was so important or something. I was nice to him but I realized he had to gain my trust and not automatically be accepted just because hes a jw. I just thought it was naive of some people. I have noticed some sisters go out of there way to help brothers being released from jw only to be burned.
Any thoughts?

Born ins..Were You Forced to Be a JW Growing Up?

Oh yeah. Most everybody was forced to be a witness. My parents were more laxed than others but it was a miserable time growing up. I attended prom and played sports and stuff. I successfully led a double life. It was so stressful trying to juggle everything. I remember a sister taking me to the backroom and questioning about what she heard from another teen. "I heard from that you get drunk and have had many sexual partners". I was like no not me. Later she called my parents and told them. There were like well what did he say. He denied it. Dumb!@# !@#%. Later she got disfellowshipped for sex. Then she got reinstated. Married a jw a week after he got out of prison. then he went back to jail for like 6 months. Then he got disfellowshipped. She is still lonely and still married to the loser. She acts like everyone should feel sorry for here. Didnt you know all jws are good people even if there currently in jail.

Variance On College
by metatron inthere seem to be some more upscale congregations in which the college thing is no big deal as long as the witness kids live at home and at least pretend to be witnesses.
this includes bachelors degrees in tech subjects, not just 2 years of nursing.. there might be some realization that, in rich areas, congegations aren't viable without education.. metatron .

Thats a good. Those people who get education will eventually quit the religion. I dont believe the money they get from there better jobs they will just waste on the organization. There too smart for that

Good and bad
by flying under the radar ini'm just a bit curios about what you find positive and negative about your experience as a witness.... .

when i was in my teens. It seemed that anything that was fun whether it was good or bad was always made bad by witnesses. They knew how to suck the fun out of everything. I hated this and I still hate it.

Jesus loves American Football
by designs inwhat is your take on players in all sports who feel the need to connect their athleticism with god's will.
tebow of the denver broncos is the latest in a long line of players who either thank jesus or point a finger to heaven when they score a touchdown or slam some guys head into a concussion.. oddly you don't see bowlers doing the same praise jesus dance for knocking over some pins, i guess its not that exciting to jesus .

Isnt there an upcoming watchtower article that discourages football. Also i believe at the elders schools and CO visits that they are pushing elders to not watch football. Soon appointed men will be removed for watching football.

I just made the comment to my girlfriend the other day. Why do we sell kingdom halls if there suppose to be dedicated to Jehovah or what not?
