i am a baptised jw(born-in).. i was a publisher in good standing until about last december when i stopped putting in fs time as well as attending meetings and conventions including this year's memorial.. i no longer believe in the teachings of the watchtower society.. about 3 weeks ago an elder and a ms from my cong came to ny house uninvited and told me they were just checking on me and wanted to find why i haven't been to the meetings for such a long time.
they told me it was not an official visit, but sort of hinted to me that if i don't show up then i might be getting an official one soon.
I moved...BEST thing I ever did, no knockers at my door - i am 45 minutes away from the KH now and 4 congos away from the Territory
I will NEVER be found
You can do the same, just find a nice place more convenient to live at

the persecution article seemingly attempts to portray jws as unfairly persecuted.

what do you do when you suspect a jw is on the way out?...you may notice that they don't talk about meetings or service on social media...they don't even list jw as their religion.

I am really with you - but like the great advice from Ynott and others, take it slow - and nurture the relationship with your kids, what else will you have?
Your wife will have to come along after her eyes are opened- I am in the same boat, so to speak, I had to SLOW DOWN and it has worked in our marriage, i am taking my time.
The kids, get involved with the PTA, school projects - and road trips. Develope their critical thinking so when they get to be Middle Schoolers they can start analyzing this CULT for themselves, - they will come to the same answers you have sooner than you think.
Remember keep your friends close, and enemies CLOSER!
