My Dad Said He Loved Me
by cognac inhe's said it before, but, it was different this time.
his dad just died and i know there are parts about me that are the exact replica of him and grandpa.
him and gramp had a falling out cause of the jw religion.. anyways, i had the funny feeling that my dad has been looking at things differently lately, but, i know he won't say much cause he's in way too deep at this point.. he came up to me the other night, and said he really loved me.

My brother died tonight
by poppers injust got word that my youngest brother died of pancreatic cancer.
he was diagnosed in early august.
this has been really tough for me and my family..

did anyone hear the same?.
supposedly at a mutual friends funeral (i dont know who) ray "supposedly spat" on karl kline for not talking to him after ray was df'd?.

Thanks all - I know it's not true - but a story is going around and being retold over and over to discredit his (Ray's ) character - As it was told to me when I questioned the "new light" idea. Pretty sad I know, but if anyone heard it - I knew you would disclose.

i have absolutely no idea what to make or give my son-in-law for his birthday or for christmas.
he has all the newest gadgets which i could not afford anyways so i am stumped.. gotta be inexpensive (on a strict budget) and if i can make it all the better.

We Need A Group Of Anointed To Challenge The Governing Body
by DT ini believe that a coup is one of the governing body's worst nightmares.. imagine a splinter group led by anointed ones that draw off enough of a following to cause confusion about who is directing the organization.. this may be one of the reasons the governing body removed the special status of the anointed and placed it on an organizational arrangement that they just happen to occupy.. the irony is that this action is a coup in itself.
by declaring themselves leaders in complete control of the organization, they have created a rival group composed of those who disagree.
these people have no obligation to follow these newly self appointed leaders.

by dreamgolfer inwith regards to the new light about the fds being now the gb, was there not a wt article years ago that stated " our salvation is based on how we treat the ones on earth that are taking the lead" while at first glance this may not seem an important statement there is some meaning to it that is deeper - can anyone post the article that from the wt that made that statement - thank you.

With regards to the NEW LIGHT about the FDS being now the GB, was there not a WT article years ago that stated " our salvation is based on how we treat the ones on earth that are taking the lead" While at first glance this may not seem an important statement there is some meaning to it that is deeper - can anyone post the article that from the WT that made that statement - thank you
Immediate thoughts pop into my mind -
1) Where in the bible does it say that is the case?
2) Does not that sound like earthly men being placed in front of Jesus who truly is the real Salvation for mankind (according to the bible)
3) earthly men "following syndrom" is an integral part of most cult activity.
