the Books were for your initial survival capabilities. Thats all all very normal in a country that has strict guidelines.
Did they ask how much $$$$ you have with you? That sets them off also

Okay Folks, it's Time to be like ....Canada

it is not the middle ages, the rrvolutinary or civil war time- it's now - 2012 and soon to be 2013. america needs to become like canada, now now now.
you can argue all you want, but if you can't open your eyes, you have some deep dark issues that require a shrink.. i will not answer you or taunt you.

Apparently my brother had a box in the trunk with some survival books, living in the woods books and a few MRE type items. There were no weapons or anything that would trigger concern with any sane border agent. So we were escorted from the customs area to the immigration area.
The above is Very NORMAL in Canada. They think that folks come up to live off the land so to speak- and yes they were worried you would be in Canada, live there and voila, finally become a citizen

after reading the wonderful article and comments on the lou with regards to blood for minor children.. it made me think that such a document and it's principle of writing would also have merit and be valid for use of and not limited to allowing - military service, acceptances of oaths and allegiance and other legal situations that have cost many previous jw's their lives.. i throw this out to all in terms of a discussion - what do you think?.

HECK NO! if you dont have a house, work on getting one! I dont care where you live, but if times got you down, just ask for some help, but DONT EXPECT THE GOVERNMENT to keep a roof over your heads, (that was your parents responsibility for having, raising and teaching you to be industrious)
