Why don't you move to Canada then dreamgolfer? Guns are banned in Mexico too, and look at how well they're doing. There are little more than 11,000 deaths a year because of guns. This is sad what happened today but we have more problems in America to worry about.

It is odd to be in a country of no guns and hear stuff like this, its just so alien to us. I have only seen one gun, I was actually preaching to a guy that was high on drugs on request of his mother. He used it to tell me he didnt want to hear anymore.... point well made. I dont think I have ever been so instantly scared in my life, not comedy material at all. Its just a piece of metal, but it can take your life in a heartbeat.

I love chris rock and i think this was funny, its just odd that it has become such a 'normal' topic in the US.
