New NWT deception at Genesis 8:22 to indicate earth remains forever.

i could not find mention of this before.

i was reading genesis 8:22 in the niv and was surprised i had never noticed that this verse gives the impression that the earth will not remain forever.

genesis 8:22 stated by god after the flood, when promising to never again destroy all living creatures.. as long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.

This is just one of many contradictions found in the bible.

Either God didn't do a good job overseeing the writing of the bible or it was invented by mere men.

Amber is sweet, smart, well spoken and so intelligent. I'll be ordering her book today.

Amber proves that "apostates" are not evil, bitter, lying, hateful and mentally diseased people that the Governing Body wants their followers to beleive.

I had read her experience about her waking up from the JW cult while serving in China somewhere online years ago. Very impressive experience. Can't wait to read her book!

I'm very glad she's gotten alot of media attention as this brings awareness of the evils of the JW cult.

How can a building dedicated to God, be sold?

i was just wondering this morning about all the kingdom halls and branches being sold to "babylon the great" and other businesses.

every single kingdom hall and bethel branch that has been sold was "dedicated to jehovah" by the watchtower corporation.

a special meeting with a guest speaker gives a talk and then offers a prayer dedicating the building to yhwh.

I was just wondering this morning about all the Kingdom Halls and branches being sold to "Babylon the Great" and other businesses. Every single Kingdom Hall and Bethel branch that has been sold was "dedicated to Jehovah" by the Watchtower Corporation. A special meeting with a guest speaker gives a talk and then offers a prayer dedicating the building to YHWH.

Are those buildings that were dedicated and later sold still dedicated to YHWH?

If a building or any property for that matter is given to someone, isn't disrespectful and illegal to just sell it out from under them and reap the profits?

What about Ananias and Saphira who verbally said they dedicated funds to God yet they kept a portion for themselves and God killed them?

The Watchtower makes a big show about dedicating a building for God yet they sell those same buildings to build themselves a 5 star resort in Warwick and live very comfortably. Are they committing the same sin as Ananias and Saphira?

Maybe I'm being too philosophical and just blowing smoke. It just doesn't make sense.

Any comments that would help me to adjust my thinking to be in harmony with gods channel of communication would be greatly appreciated. (Sarcasm).

Where do members of the Governing Body and their wives Live ? Not their actual addresses of course. however ?..........

i`m just curious about the lifestyle they themselves are enjoying compared to the millions of followers they have in the jw religion.do any of the gb members have private homes that they own and live in ?

or do they and their wives live in a communal arrangement .?

if they do have private homes they own and live in what type of suburb/area do they live in ?

The Governing Body lives a modest, humble life except for:

01.) The live in a 5 star resort

02.) Security 24/7 at their resort

03.) Free healthcare

04.) 2 months paid vacation per year

05.) 1st class travel all over the world.

06.) Tax free green handshakes

07.) Personal expense account.

08.) Unlimited meals

09.) Free legal services

10.) Free labor to build their empire

11.) Swimming pool, sauna, gym, basketball court at their resort.

12.) Free housekeeping, dry cleaning and laundry service.

13.) Their own T.V. show where they remind 8.5 million people how awesome they are and how they should be obeyed as if they would obey Christ himself.

Being a cult leader is a hard job but the Governing body has humbly accepted this self sacrificing lifestyle in order to serve their brothers!

Do You Think Prostitution Should Be Decriminalized?

in the us there is a bill in the house of representatives to decriminalize prostitution.

what do you think about that?.

What 2 consenting adults decide to do as long as no one gets hurt, is no ones business. Forced prostitution ie. pimps and traffickers need to be aggressively prosecuted and automatic life sentences should be imposed on them.

Legalizing prostitution will actually make it safer for the providers and the Johns as no one has to be taking risk by hiding and going to dangerous areas; not to mention the tax benefits for the government.

Only very few countries have laws against prostitution. All of North America allows prostitution except for the USA. Even Canada has made prostitution legal. As mentioned already, traffickers and pimps are the ones that need to be prosecuted.

Question for Current and Ex Elders

have you ever reinstate somebody even if they are not that repentant?.

We had a case where a publisher was df for adultery and he moved to another nearby Congregation. He requested to be reinstated and the original judicial committee met with the elders where the df person was attending and we both Interviewed the df person. (The original committee that made the decision to df is the one that makes the decision to reinstate or not, even he attends another Congregation)

We had a total of 4 reinstatement meetings with the original committee (I was part of) and the elders where the df attended and of course the dfd person.

Every single meeting, the dfd person would blame his wife for his adultery and refused to apologize to her. The first 3 meetings we denied his request because we wanted to see him cry and apologize and he didn't do that. Every meeting was 1 month apart as he would immediately write a new letter requesting reinstatement. When the 4th meeting was requested and scheduled, the original committee and his elders were all tired. We just told him he can be reinstated and didn't demand that he apologize to his wife or that he admit his fault. Even in the last meeting he kept blaming his wife for his unfaithfulness and there were rumors he was still sleeping around with other women but we didn't bother to investigate. We took his word when he denied those rumors.

Only 1 elder opposed the decision and pointed out his lack of repentance but the majority overruled him as we just got tired of meeting with him every month and just wanted to go home.

I admit I was one of the elders that just wanted to stop these meetings and let him get reinstated as I was tired as well.

Sorry to disappoint anyone but we all just wanted to get this over with even though he didn't show repentance according to Watchtower. Now I realize it's just a game we were all playing. What a waste of time and invasion of privacy.

i truly believe the gb thinks all members are stupid and they laugh at them in their wednesday morning secret meetings.. one such teaching that i never heard anyone bring out or question yet the absurdity and contradiction is blatantly obvious is: revelation chapter 20 says that christ will reign for 1000 years.

it doesn't say he will reign more than a thousand yrs but only 1000 yrs.

One such teaching that I never heard anyone bring out or question yet the absurdity and contradiction is blatantly obvious is: Revelation chapter 20 says that Christ will reign for 1000 years. It doesn't say he will reign more than a thousand yrs but only 1000 yrs. Yet the Watchtower Corporation teaches that Jesus started reigning in 1914. That's over 100 yrs ago.

So if Armageddon came in 2020 (just for the sake of argument) jesus would have about 900 yrs left to reign. Yet the JW cult says the 1000 yr reign starts after armageddon but at the same time they say he started to rule in 1914. They teach such nonsense and yet the members just accept it and don't question it. It's terrifying how cult leaders can teach blatant, contradicting doctrines and yet the members just believe it without putting much thought to it.
