It is good to have a little balance in the house and senate, but the republicans don't stand a chance at the white house again with their out dated philosophy.

Republican Party is pretty much done!

When Did You Stop Attending The Memorial At the Hall? Celebrate L.E.M. With Friends Online?
by ÁrbolesdeArabia ini am still new to the business of fading and once i stop attending the memorial with all the dubs around me, my former friends will definitly put my shepherding call on hold.
i am sure some of the friends faded quick and never turn their back toward the kingdom hall again.
i am curious if others took a longer approach to fading and dropping off completly.

Newly nlightened, make sure it is organic whole wheat flour and organic olive oil, just as it would have been in the first century.
Just kidding.
I have vowed never to step foot in a kingdom hall again and have skipped the memorial for the last two years. I have become an atheist so it isn't an issue for me. Jehovah's Witnesses are right, once you leave, all kinds of things change in your life, all for the better is what they fail to mention.

i talked with some this week.
their lack of want to improve their situation drives me nuts.. 18 years ago, relative betty gets pregnant as a teenager, had a baby (we'll call her mary), very quickly abandoned mary to grandma, came back pregnant with another child 5 years later, grandma pays alot of betty's & mary's bills, grandma used to say that betty was jealous of mary (mary is pretty, thin, and can do well in school.

Talked to Phone Witnessing JWs
by jamiebowers ini usually can't hear someone knocking on the door of our enclosed porch, so i haven't spoken to a jw in person in the ten years that we've been at this house.
and being that the temperatures are currently very cold in northeast ohio, i suppose the jws are doing telephone witnessing.
so, today i had the opportunity to talk to two real live jws.

We used to refer to people who only came to the Kingdom Hall on Memorial night as "the Annuals." How unloving and derogatory, but we didn't know it at the time, we thought we were so much better than others.

A word of caution
by Socrateswannabe inplease forgive me if you consider this to be presumptuous, i know i am an ultra-newbie here.
but, i see a lot of threads on jwn that read something like, "what is your dog's name" or "where's your favorite vacation spot", "what's your special name for your spouse", etc.
i give the opening posters of these threads the benefit of the doubt that they are creating them simply for entertainment purposes.
