Local needs talk
by hoser inone of the elders was missing his service bag and suspected that one of the publishers stole it.
he was determined to root out who did it so he decided to give a local needs part on the ten commandments focusing on you must not steal.. he enlisted the help of a trusted ministerial servant and got him to stand at the back of the kingdom hall during the part.
he told the ms that he would read off the ten commandments and when he got to the one "you must not steal" he would pause longer than usual and see if anyone acted nervous or suspicious.

shunning and jw funerals
by man in black inwhen a jw from your area dies, do you attend the visitation or funeral ?.
since i have da'ed myself, several people that i have known for years have died, and i have attended both the visitation, and or funeral.. but everytime, i have been treated like i don't even exist.
just trying to follow normal human emotions, by attending and showing my feelings to the surviving family has been alot like running into a brick wall.

When my Jw mother died last summer, my sister and I who are both faders were almost completely ignored. We are her only children, and we were treated like outsiders. People actually acted shocked and offended that we even spoke to them. What hypocrites!

by Gojira_101 inwell i'm sorry i've been absent, it's been a rough few weeks and still having to work....i ended up having a nice happy surprise by having the day off, so i'm finally going to get caught up on things.. .
april 1st was my 6 months of not reporting service time and i am officially inactive now.
i think my hubby and i are going to celebrate!

I have been inactive for about 2 1/2 yrs now and can tell you the wonderful feelings do not fade. No guilt feelings about not going to meetings and field service is wonderful. When you realize that god isn't going to destroy you because you don't belong to a false religion, it is very freeing.

this film is really interesting.
the guy it's about is nuttier than squirrel poop.

Yes, I saw it. What a horrible way to die. We must respect that bears are wild animals and not get too close. We think the grizzly man had some mental problems. He did not use common sense.

Thank you for posting your analysis of their brief. I honestly don't see how they can claim to be gods earthly viable organization with such an unloving attitude about innocent victims that they made vulnerable to molesters who are allowed to florish inside the congregation.

by cedars inrecently i had someone contact me on facebook, thanking me for helping her awaken from indoctrination.. i am always interested in finding out the mechanisms behind people "awakening," so i asked her what i had done to make a difference.
it turned out i had left a complimentary remark on one of her youtube videos (she was singing a kingdom song) and she learned ttatt after clicking on my name and seeing the so-called apostate videos on my channel.. i don't think it was any of my own videos she ended up watching - from what she described it sounded like someone else's video that i had "liked.
" nonetheless, it was enough for her to become inquisitive and start exploring, and before she knew it she was free from mind control.. the moral of the story?
