  JW family made contact....

  .....after 8 years of us being disfellowshipped.

  the made contact through my aunt who is still 'in' - as in she has faded but is not disfellowshipped and will pop to a meeting now and again - she does this for my grans' sake.. the contact was from my aunt and uncle (he's an elder) these were the 2 witnesses used against me in my judicial case.

  they contacted my aunt and said to forward the message onto us.

  I also agree, and although I think you are sweet for wanting to support your aunt, this will not be pleasant and may leave you in a bad way emotionally. You may even be moved to break your resolve, these people should not be calling the shots. They want to meet with you, not give versa. I advise against this face to face meeting. They think they can talk you into it. They will use their Ministry School training and twist, twist, twist and maneuver things in their direction. If you do agree, prepare for the worst.

  A little update

  hello everybody, even though i don't post a lot, i visit and read the threads on this site quite frequently.. wanted to give you a little update and ask for some advice at the same time.

  since my exit, about 2 years ago, everything had been almost perfect.

  i was living on my own, making new friends, elders from my old hall weren't bothering me at all, i was enjoying life.

  Oh my, what a tough situation. Actually, I would try to get them all out. Read Steve Hassons book and proceed with patience and kindness. Ask questions that will force them to say the ridiculous answers. Put them on the spot, but do so gently and lovingly.

  Please explain why the elders are doing this to us

  got a phone call today from a couple from our ex congregation.

  he was visited again by two elders(one in training) again.

  third shepherding call within two months.

  Just can't miss a meeting, not even on a vacation

  we had out of state company come the past couple days.

  we had a days notice they were coming.

  they stayed 1.5 days and left today because they couldn't miss the wt back home.

  We did try to go one time while on vacation and we drove miles to the nearest Kingdom Hall only to discover it was the Circuit Assembly that weekend and no meeting!

  yes the title of my first post was a little negative " shatterd faith" and the truth is i dont feel like that at all.. its wonderful being in a state of not knowing as it makes hope possible.

  and what i now learn i will learn from within and also enjoy doubt.. so why do i call this post " i am free"?

  because i will no longer allow a tiny few control the direction of my life.

  So, my husband would not even meet the elders who just happened to drop by this morning.

  he stayed inside and kept going about his business like they weren't even there.

  i engaged them on the verandah hut politely explained that they'd caught us at a bad time as we were doing a big cleanup of the house.

  the elders had even bought a pack of chocolate cookies around, so they were expecting to be invited in and offered coffee.
