well, i have been posting here on and off for a while now.
it is good to see the progress that so many have made.
i have appreciated your experiences, your humour, your struggles, etc.. as i sit here today, i realize that i have made progress as well.
My sister and I, along with a few close family members and a friend all left three years ago. Nothing, absolutely nothing horrible has happened that the Society had warned us about. We are all happy to be out and none of us desire to return. we do agreewho wished we had left sooner, much sooner.
I am fortunate that my only child and her spouse do not shun me. (Guess they have a bit of apostate in them, too!)
keep this one fact in mind about jehovah's witnesses.
they exist in three dumb categories throughout their history.. 1. honest bible students attracted to the gimmicks of russell (charts, graphs, chronologies, pyramid inches, etc.
) expected the end of the world to come and they wanted to know more.. 2.contrarian hard heads under rutherford wanted to prove everybody was wrong about everything except themselves.
Elijehovah: Is English a second language for you? Your posts sound so sincere but dont make a lot of sense. Please let us know more about you. We are all friends here. No details so that anyone can identify you, but just a general summary of who you are would be appreciated.
not being a very technical sort of person, i don't know what it is that makes the "results" from a web search change from day to day, but i have noticed this site sometimes on the first ten "results" and another time very close to the first "results.".
today it is the third result offered on my google search.

The Wikipedia web page about Charles Taze Russell was a starting point for me. Follow the suggested links and you can find all the information you need to decide for yourself that the Watchtower Society cannot possibly be what they claim to be.

You could do your Bible reading using this version in advance and prepare using this as a jumping off place.
Also, in the Bible Story book, the account about Jeptha's daughter, she was actually burned to death as unmistakably stated in the Bible but the Watchtower says not so.
Lot's wife being turned into a pilar of salt while Lot is allowed to F**k his both daughters while drunk. He also offered to let the crowd rape his daughters. The angels could have protected themselves, the daughters could not have.
What kind of justice system requires someone innocent to die (Jesus Christ) to appease the court over someone elses failing (Adam & Eve).
Use stuff like this. Act full of amazement as you ask innocently "how this could be right?"
my wife has told her jw best friend and jw sister that she is givng up the religion!!
and there was i worrying about losing her when i left the cult.
and, to top it all, my 15 and 13 year old children are using their critical thinking skills and can see it all for what it is.

i read about the new tract distribution and thought to myself how should i react, when they come to my door.
finally today, after finishing my morning coffee, i got an idea!
i'll take the tract, look at it, look at them, and with a nice smile rip it up and hand it back to them with :"have a great day!

JW's are not supposed to read it but you never know, you may get a JW at your door that is curious.

- all jw's on my part of the family are fully awake about ttatt and have fast-forwarded into 'fading mode'.
they are missing meetings, no longer go out in field service (but still send a fictious time slip at the end of the month), have missed the recent assembly.. - my father is now an ex-elder.
Oh, such a wonderful update. So happy your family has seen the truth about the Watchtower Society. Thank you for thinking about us. We need more encourageing experiences like this.
at our service meeting we studied for half an hour on what our meetings are like!!!!

That sounds like a very typical meeting. I am so glad I don't waste my time and my energy going to those zombie classes at the Kingdom Hall anymore.
cruising down to the city this afternoon we were behind a group of j-dubs on the train.
part of the conversation centered around the "generation" teaching.
all of them clearly trying to wrap their heads around it.
We must not give up hope that our loved ones will wise up with the multitude of doctrinal changes they are continueing to make.
