so.... i went out all day today... just wanted to get away from the sh!tstorm that was created yesterday.

anyways... i come home like an hour ago, and my dad told me that mom called my aunties in central america and told them stuff about me, and also she told the elders of her hall... the elders want to meet with me, but i think that it will be at my house.

i am curious about your ideas about:.

Wow! Shi@storm is a good description of the situation. You know what the rules are. You can play along by their rules or simply not acknowledge that they have any authority over you.

I would never agree to meet with the elders norwould I write a letter of disassociation. The elders are simply mid level cult leaders and do not deserve the courtesy of a reply to any questions.

You have some tough decisions ahead.

At a circuit assembly they said if you are asked to jump you should ask "how high?" Everyone clapped enthusiastically, of course.

Reorganization Branches Belgium and The Netherlands

the belgium branche of jw in kraainem will be closed.. the netherlands branche of jw in emmen will be reorganized into an ict devolpment office.. all the oldtimers jw staff in emmen is told they have to leave, they are dismissed.. of course it will be explained that the organization is on the move, a blessing from jehovah.. gorby.

Hit or Miss..

...most of my " new topic" threads seem to miss.... why is it some posters seem to be " celebrities" here and others like me get lost in the shuffle?.

i am sure i will now get knocked down and shot with comments like ....well i guess i got it comming.

The number of views is more important than the comments. Some times I read through a thread and see that nothing more can be said or it was said much better than I would have ever said it so I don't post.

It is true that some posts don't get much attention. Some days are better than others. We love you, though, and want you here.

My sister's decision to ex-communicate me, just might rock the boat!

it was 11 days after i received the email from my sister, informing me that she is no longer going to communicate with me.. i was never a jw, so i don't fully comprehend this decision, nor do i understand the games jw's play.. i talked to my mom yesterday, and she (baptized within last year) is getting more and more fed up with the nonsense.

she has been trying to get everyone to come together, and she is seeing more and more extreme behavior from my sister and her husband.

my mom is blaming my brother in law, but my sister has clearly spoken up and said she is speaking for herself also.

I am sorry you have to go through this. Hope your mother fully wakes up.

You may help her by talking about the parable of the good Samaritan. You know the Jews were supposed to shun the Samaritans but Jesus used the Samaritan as an example of a good neighbor. The priest and the Levite didn't bother to help the man who was robbed and beaten, but it was the Samaritan that went above and beyond the call of duty. So who was the better person?

Also, the Samaritan woman was the first person Jesus identified himself to as the Messiah. Ask her to think about that.

JW's do not follow Jesus' example of not shunning anyone.
