Hey, you are all right...why didn't we see this when we were in. We were so freakin blind it isn't even funny. We just believed any reasoning they feed us.

whathappened
When I was still "in" I used to believe that Jehovahs Witnesses who left just never joined any other religion. I wondered how could they after being in the "true religion." I was surprised when I joined this site to find that they do sometimes go on to join other faiths, and in a lot of cases, become atheist.

The door bell rang today
by ABibleStudent injust before i started undressing to take a shower to go to an appointment, the door bell rang.
i thought about not answering the door, but then thought what the hell it could be my neighbor, who is a widow and in her 70's, needing some help.. at the door was a frail man about 85+ years old dressed in a shabby sport coat, shirt, tie, and slacks, and a skinny woman about 75+ years old in a long dress that needed to be ironed.
as i grabbed my dog to prevent him from jumping at the screen door, which was partially open, and beating the couple with his tail and making them fall, i thought what am i going to do.

I feel badly for that old couple. They shouldn't be out there doing volunteer work for a publishing house at their age. So sad...

What group within the Witnesses has the highest drop out rate?
by Ultimate Axiom inif you could categorise jehovahs witnesses into their various groups, i.e.
publisher, auxiliary pioneer, regular pioneer, special pioneer, missionary, co, do, bethel worker, born-ins, etc etc, (and you can subdivide into as many groups as you wish) what group do you think has the highest drop out rate?
i remember an ex ny bethellite saying that bethel cured him of the watchtower, and after reading the thread http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/160509/1/warren-schroeder-from-bethel-on-freddy-kline-and-the-apostate-books my guess is that it would be ny bethellites, but i am interested to know if there is a consensus on this, or on any other group, or no group at all..

I am a raised in empty nester who left a little over 2 years ago. I think it is very unusual for a 56 year old to abruptly and joyfully leave the religion they were raised in. My older sister left the same time I did. We took more than a few family and friends with us when we left. The Watchtower organisation is in big, Big, BIG trouble.

Very encourageing statistics for us, very discouraging, no doubt, for the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society.

is it me or is this kinda sick?
i mean i can understand learning from the account, but this is kinda deviant.
-
whathappened
This is sick, I printed it up and am showing it to people as an example of how twisted this organisation is.

This is a sick organisation that demands that perverts and criminals call on the unsuspecting public in order to peddle their literature and make money for them.

Welcome to our world...of freedom. Sounds like it will be no time at all until you are out completely. It is worth it, believe it.
