If I was out I'd...
by OneDayillBeFree inwhat kinds of things would you like to do if you were out of the organization?
and if you're already out and free, what kinds of things did you do that you really wanted to do but couldn't because it was against jw beleiefs?.
recently, i overheard some of the younger crowd of jw's after a meeting talking about how they wished they could have this or do that, get tattoos, play the newest video games (you know, the ones with all the violence and realistic 'kickass' graphics and such), grow out their beards for 'no shave november" wear miniskirts and dye their hair crazy colours... etc.

The TRUTH about Jehovah's Wittnesses (from MY 22 YRS. EXPERIENCE) - A MUST READ!
by gmason972 ini have learned to stay away from all religion and jehovahs wittness doctrine (that includes the watchtower and awake magazines).
stay away from positions of ministerial servant, pioneer, aux pioneer, elder, and the like.
once you become a full fledged jehovah wittness you are doomed to be unhappy.

by Gypsy Sam init's hard to believe it was only a little over a year ago i received my first official rbc assignment.
i was so excited i posted about it on facebook, to many likes from my fellow jw friends.. fast forward to this year, learning ttatt and fading (last meeting was the memorial and special talk).. i've received my fourth email, in the past two months, asking for rbc help.. stifling urge to hit reply all, with a jwfacts and candace conti case web link.... isn't it amazing how much your life and worldview can change in 1 year?.

Why not be totally free from it all?
by braincleaned inso many of you here have suffered from the borg and it's twisted and ever-changing teachings.. some of us turned atheists, others hold on to jehovah god and his son jesus.. both have and still suffer from all the lies, the mind-control, the loss of individuality to conform to the cult.. may i offer a personal observation, for which i could be totally wrong, and would welcome rectification if i am.. as some of you know, i became an atheist long before i questioned the borg... which at first, i still considered a loving "mother".. my aha!
moment was thru my ardent personal study; and the issue i battled with was nothing else than god's character.. now, before i continue, please be aware that i have hated god until i was convinced he was a figment of the imagination and folklore in human literature.
many of you here may cringe at these words, and i do apologize if i seem to be insulting as i would hate to be guilty of that.

The cult of death
by Apostating inyesterday i heard that the day before two people from my former congregation had died (this is in the netherlands, schiedam).
their deaths are a little bit related and i think it is a very sad story.. a young boy from sixteen old years hanged himself.
his little sister found him in his room.

These stories are hard to read. This evil organisation must be exposed for what it truly is. Every chance I get to bash the Watchtower Society you bet I take it.

"They're only human!" (the most common defence of the Governing Body)
by Watchtower-Free inhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkjk3eyd7ee.
-
whathappened
The governing body thinks when they are right, they are right, and when they are wrong they are right, too.
That attitude does not reflect the humility of Jesus Christ, who is head of the congregation. They have made a mockery of Jesus by their continual doctrinal changes and notorious false predictions about the end of this system of things. If Jesus is the head of the congregation, why can't they get things right the first time?

Have you grown detached from caring about JW family and old friends?
by tootired2care inafter being out of the borg for a year and a half, weve dealt with a lot of nonsense from local elders stopping by unannounced, well-meaning do-gooders trying to encourage us.
somehow weve managed to get through this without getting dfd/dad.
for me the worst part of it all has been that much of my family has shunned me, and stopped talking to me, as soon as they heard through the grapevine that i wasnt going to meetings.
-
whathappened
We were able to get the majority of our family out by showing them what the Watchtower publications said in the Finished Mystery book and older Watchtowers.
My daughter is still in but refuses to shun me and her husband is allowing this.
My nephew only maintains a yearly or semi annual check in with his mother, who left just before I did. He completely shuns me.
I still care about a couple of people who were friends, but they won't have anything to do with me. It is their loss, I feel.
