The world ends on May 27, 2012....
by pseudoxristos inor so says ronald weinland;.
may 27, 2012april 29, 2012. as readers of this site know, may 27, 2012, is the time that i have stated as being the date jesus christ will return as king of kings over all government on this earth.
for such an event to come to pass, the trumpets of revelation must all sound, the united states and dollar collapse, the ten nations of europe arise to fulfill the final revival of the holy roman empire, and russia with china must unite against europe in wwiii.. .... http://www.ronaldweinland.com/.

Gotta love the keyword search function on G**gle...here is the top 5 out of 100 most searched terms using the keyword "Jehovah's Witnesses". These numbers are based on a per month average.
Jehovah's Witnesses Global Search 450,000 U.S. Search 246,000
jehovahs witness Global Search 368,000 U.S. Search 240,000
what is a jehovah witness Global Search 550,000 U.S. Search 301,000
jehovah witness religion Global Search 22,200 U.S. Search 18,100
is jehovah witness a cult Global Search 6,600 U.S. Search 4,400
After I recorded this search criteria, I went ahead and plugged them into the google search engine to see what site shows up first in their rankings.
Jehovah's Witnesses = www.watchtower.org
jehovahs witness = www.watchtower.org
what is a jehovah witness = www.watchtower.org
jehovah witness religion = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jehovah's_Witnesses
is jehovah witness a cult = http://carm.org/is-the-jehovahs-witness-religion-christian
So, conclusion is this. If anyone decides to start a blog or website that is anti-witness, these keywords (although the most searched), also have low competition for your SEO.
As a sidepoint, I typed in the key website "www.jw.org" and it is not even listed in the top 100. I typed in the key website www.watchtower.org (which they are supposedly taking down) and it has a monthly hit status of over 2,000,000 global and 1,000,000 U.S....most of which are directed towards .pdf and audio downloads. So, if anyone decides to build an anti-witness website called www.x-jw.org (which is still an available domain) using some of the top 5 key words listed above, you may have something. And when I say something, I mean a first page listing in direct competition with the soon to be touted www.jw.org website and probably right before wikipedia.
www.jw.org will always have first place because they have deeper pockets, but atleast yours would show up fairly fast if you market it well enough and get enough visitors. Which you can get just by networking with people on this forum and/or posting your site in your signature. And don't forget to reference your site on wikipedia if you add a bit to their explanations (see wikipedia website listed above).
I would love to do this project myself, but i'm too busy hugging my smurf doll, having sex, and watching R rated movies. So have at it people. If you need further help on this project, feel free to consult the following site:
http://advocacy.globalvoicesonline.org/
here you can learn how to start an anonymous and untraceable blog, as well as get a few tools to help you market it.
Good luck!!!

Do not watch this video if your a devout JW
by iamwhoiam in...the reason being is that you will see how it all works...it is very scary and it will definately make you doubt.
this maybe about scientology, but just replace that word with jehovah's witnesses and there is absolutely no difference.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfdl6ga1di0&feature=related.

Can the Watchtower Society survive without time reports?
by DT inthere has already been much discussion about how the watchtower society has declared in australia that going door to door is part of a personal ministry.
this seems to be a lame attempt to avoid liability considering that they require time reports and have formal meetings for field service at the kingdom hall.. this is a bit of a dilemma.
reporting time and formal meetings for field service are important methods of control, however it's not clear if the organization is willing or able to handle the potential liability that may come from this.. imagine what would happen if they lost these methods of control.

Im taking a shot in the dark here...but I think if the society dropped time reporting...attendance could possibly rise. People being called on by the witnesses say they don't want to go to the meetings because they don't want to have to go door to door. Im most likely wrong, but just approaching from another angle.

Now that we plan for Retirement
by designs inone of the big adjustments for many of us was growing older and realizing retirement was a reality.
did you have a company or government retirement package or personal ira or 401k.
what advice would you give the 20 to 60 year olds coming to term with 'life in this system'..

There is nothing wrong with investing. I would say that most people relate investing to some type of buy and hold strategy. If this is the case, then this type of method doesn't really, if at all, produce any type of decent return that will allow you to retire comfortably. Even mutual funds lost 60 to 80% of thier value during the last financial bust. At the same time, mutual funds did well because they make thier money via commission. Pension funds do a little better but more often than not they hold thier money in mutual funds as well.
You might consider being more of an active type investor. By that I mean creating your own portfolio and monitoring it yourself on when to buy and sell..as well as managing your money. If you are not able to do your own research to achieve this, you could look at a fund that is well diversified accross all markets (including futures) and place your money with them. This is sometimes not an easy thing to achieve since most hedge funds will not accept anything less than 100,000 to 1,000,000 dollars. You can try superfund..do a search. They let you invest for a minimum of 5,000 dollars..which on average provides you with a 20% average ROI per anum which results in roughly 250k in your retirement account in 20 to 25 years. The more you add to your account over time...the more return obviously.
If you would like to be more active and invest on your own..which takes alot of discipline. you might consider opening a trading account via a Roth IRA which is tax free until you take your money out. Read a couple books on investing (if your into playing the stock market)...I would recommend How to Make Money in Stocks by William O'neill or Jackass Investing by Michael Dever. Either one is a good start. Keep it simple and remain disciplined..it will all work out. You can increase returns by using leverage and trading other instruments as time goes on. It all depends on how much risk you want to accept.

WT Seeking Donations Of Gold: News To Me... When and Where?
by Room 215 ini noted in a thread on kingdom hall remodelling that some mentioned that a call for donations of gold jewellery was made from the platform.
since this sounds like something that would have been presented by a part on the service meeting and therefore noted in the kingdom ministry schedule, can anyone recall the specifics of this?
if so, how recently?

They didn't say they were seeking donations of gold. They gave us a procedure to go by if we wanted to donate gold. It was in October or November when we went over the donation arrangements. Some people wanted to donate stocks, bonds, deeds, gold and jewelry (wills and trusts). They spent most of the part discussing gold and what we should do if we wanted to send it to the society. It's nothing new...it's just entertaining how they spent most of the part talking about gold when it happens to be the most valuable metal right now.
