I am like Dr. Leo Marvin in "What about Bob"
by NVR2L8 ina few days ago i watch the old bill murray movie "what about bob" with my family and realized that i'm in the same situation as dr. leo marvin (played by richard dreyfus).
for those who have never seen this movie, dr. marvin is a psychiatrist who is unable to shake off an obsessed patient who manages to track him down during his family vacation.
the patient befriends the family who see him like a charming man, when in fact he is driving dr. leo crazy.

Moshe, nobody wants to lose those they love...and I already took that risk by leaving the cult. I now can be myself because I am no longer under the control of the WT and not because I am free from my family...Because I no longer believe what they believe doesn't change how much I love them. I know that's not how they feel right now...but I have nothing to lose by continuing to love them regardless.
Hermano, I do...bought her the larger home she really wanted. Travel abroad every year...at least once. She never had to go to work outside of home and we always had more than enough to live. Although they love all I do for and with them, they have a hard time getting over the fact I left the truth. It's like this comment we use to say about some neighbors: they are such nice people, all they are missing is the truth!

The dinner scene is a classic...last year my wife invited a few friends and they were having their usual JW talk...then one of the brother started talking about this sister who needed to be talked to because she seemed not to know her place in the congregation...that comment annoyed me as much as Bob's mmmmmmmms Mrs. M, mmmmmm...So I asked the brother how was it that he could determine what the sister's place was and what authority he had over her...my family looked at me puzzled...then there was long silence. There was a younger sister there and I was shocked that she wasn't reacting to the chauvinistic comments of a mid twenty overzealous male pioneer...cultic paralysis I guess!

My wife just told me to move out...
by nolongerconfused inbecause of "religious" differences, she now wants me to move out and "separate"...i said what biblical grounds does she have for her request?.
she couldnt respond...she said she'd rather be beaten up by me than have an "apostate" in the house.... this org definitely encourages conditional love.... i don't know what to do...by the way, we dont have children.

When I first came out and told my wife I no longer wanted to go to the meetings she said that she didn't want to be married to a pagan. I told her I understood her disappointment but if she mentioned this again, she would not be married at all. That was her last attempt to leverage our marriage to get me to return to the fold. At this point in my life I was ready to call her bluff. Since then religion is not discussed in our house. If she brings something up then I do too...if she doesn't want to hear it from me she knows what to do. Shortly after we sold our house and bought another larger home she really wanted. Then I took her to San Francisco for our wedding anniversary. We went to Cuba at Christmas...in time our life returned to a level of normalcy. Still, we do not have the closeness we used to because the WT beliefs are wedged between us. I can live with this because I still have hope my wife will come to her senses and figure out the WT is a fraud.

15 years ago my daughter left the truth to live with her boyfriend. During 10 years my wife and I shunned her completely in the hope she would miss us so much she would come back to the congregation. This backfired because she built a new life and replaced us with her in laws...Today I am out of the cult and trying to rebuilt my relationship with her. 10 years of her life are missing in mine...She forgives me but I can't forgive myself. Build a new life with people who will love you unconditionally. Conditional love is selfish and heartless.

Freinds, how many do you have ?
by Satanus ini'll start.
i'm low on friends, for various reasons.
scientists poke their calculators into everything, and the number of friends we can have is one of them.

I have helped many work associates to develop and thrive professionally and many have become friends. I spent 5 decades as a JW and got to know many people who claimed were my brothers. Unfortunately when they moved to another congregation it was the end of our friendship because we no longer would get together...what's the use of having brothers if they have no time to spend with you. The same is true for my JW family. If I don't call them or make an effort to keep in touch, they won't because they're so busy pioneering or caring for their brothers in their respective congregation. Of course the WT makes sure your time is all devoted to them...but once in a while you get to see your friends at the DA...

Resistance...I have been inactive for almost 3 years and elders attempted to speak to me once. I asked them to leave me alone and they have respected my request. The WT has no longer a hold on me but they hold my family as hostages and they are oblivious to this. So they can't see anything wrong about anything the WT does nor will they listen to negative reports on child abuse or question the numerous doctrinal changes of late. My only option is to take baby steps in feeding them information that may trigger their awakening without raising their defense mechanism. As for a vacation, I travel extensively for work, so I get regular breaks from their cultish reasoning and I get to enjoy normalcy while away.

The same proposal was made in Ontario Canada and it was shot down because in this country women have the same rights as men.

Everytime the WTS quotes religious sources they are, according to their own definition, quoting apostates...When they quote William Durant in the Trinity brochure, they are using an apostate to support their claims...the same goes with the Anti-Nicene Fathers...the Catholic Encyclopedia...Justus Lipsius...Johannes Greber...

Lady Lee I envy you! Flying a plane is still on my "bucket list"...
I attended a conference given by Bill Clinton.
From Toronto I crossed Canada and the US on my motorcycle - 11,000 km.
I played a hockey game at the Bell Centre in Montreal wearing the Habs red uniform.
