Usually to qualify as a MS one has to take the lead in field ministry so a 10 hour average would be an indicator. After being appointed if a MS circumstances change and his hour average drops the elders may be patient before removing the brother. That's what I experienced when I started traveling extensively for work...I asked to be removed but the elders refused saying they would give me time to correct the situation. At that time I was waking up to TTATT and my work situation was just an excuse so I insisted to be removed and they complied.

Yay! Apostates are no longer "mentally diseased!"
by rory-ks inoriginal nwt reads: "if any man teaches other doctrine and does not assent to healthful words, those of our lord jesus christ, nor to the teaching that accords with godly devotion, he is puffed up [with pride], not understanding anything, but being mentally diseased over questionings and debates about words.
from these things spring envy, strife, abusive speeches, wicked suspicions...".
2013 revision reads: "if any man teaches another doctrine and does not agree with the wholesome instruction, which is from our lord jesus christ, nor with the teaching that is in harmony with godly devotion,he is puffed up with pride and does not understand anything.

I guess non English speaking apostates are still mentally diseased...as there is no plan to have new grey bibles in other languages than English.

Why I feel that worshiping "God" is a waste of time...
by CaptainSchmideo inhave you ever had a so-called friend who never seemed to be around when you really needed his active, participatory help, but was always good enough to show up after the fact, to lend you his "support" after the event?.
maybe he failed to show up when you needed to move furniture.
did he show up afterward, and praise you for the ability to get it done without his help?

Jesus gave the illustration of the good Samaritan and sadly God resembles the two men who walked by without assisting a man in distress...

Active JW's, can you defend "THE TRUTH?"
by DATA-DOG inas of yet, no member of the jehovah's witness faith can defend their unique beliefs.
when the dust settles, it all comes down to blind faith in men's ever-changing ideas.
this "unique belief" was not a "true teaching of the bible.

The society gets to rent out district convention sites for free!!!??
by EndofMysteries inlook what i just found.... "the jehovahs witness convention, christian congregation was approved for a $30,000 grant to offset the cost of renting veterans memorial arena july 4-6 and july 18-20.".
http://www.jaxdailyrecord.com/showstory.php?story_id=542296.
i wonder how much are they charged for that event or if it ends up being close to free since the city will say it will generate revenue for the city.

District conventions are graciously provided by the organization...but you are free to contribute to make up the cost...so in the end if the convention site is provided for free or if the WT receives a grant to hold the conversation in this location, all donations are gravy money! They sure wouldn't tell the brothers to keep their cash to upset their travel expenses.

Governing Bodies Secret Elder's training video on suicide leaked
by Watchtower-Free inwatchtower minions have pulled down jwsurveys links .
here's another one .. the gb should be held liable for this crap.

What really jumped out at me while watching this video is the widow's crying at the grave site...I attended several JW services and never saw much demonstration of intense grief...JW usually cry silently or cry privately. They also rarely go to the grave site...many not having such a site to be remembered by...I also asked myself how Jesus would have reacted if a sister came to him with such grief? Would he have been cold and distant like the elders or would he had held her in his arms like a loving family member? In real life telling her that Job overcame the loss of 10 family members does very little to comfort someone who is suicidal. Every person deals with grief in different ways and there's no one size fits all solution as this video would like you to believe...if Job was able to cope so will you...

Pioneering: How the GB shamelessly capitalizes on members' worldly desire for prominence.
by Island Man inthe bible likens the preaching work to a sacrifice of praise - praise to god.
pioneering is also a sacrifice that involves praise.
it's the sacrifice of a specified number of hours that wins you the praise of men.. when you really analyze the psychology of pioneering it is apparent that the praise of men or prominence before men is at the heart of it.

My dad was chastised by the elders for not signing up for auxiliary pioneer and putting in the required hours...they told him he deprived the congregation the encouragement resulting from knowing he was pioneering! What about the encouragement of seeing him out in service every day of the week? Idiots.

There's nothing wrong with that. The sad thing is that for many JWs these are the only jobs they aspire to because superior education is out of the question. I dropped out of grade 10 in 1970 because I was taught I wouldn't finish college or wouldn't have a career before the end. My lack secular education made it difficult to market my skills to their full value. Of course I acquired skills and experience in the organization, but today I realize that all this could have been done by investing a few more years in school rather than a lifetime in JWisme. It is absolutely normal for children to dream of becoming a fireman, hockey player, astronaut, physician or scientists....it's just sad the organization is full of people content to be window washers and office cleaners...
