Je Suis Charlie
by Slidin Fast inthis incident in paris makes me feel absolutely furious.
yes i feel desperately sorry for the victims and their families no one should have to deal with that.
the thing that makes me feel absolutely incandescent though is the attack on freedom of speech and expression.

Still pointing your Finger when having a Rafter in your eye?
by DocHouse inyes- everyone has faults and makes mistakes; an organization even more so.. yet, you ignore all the fingers pointing at you.. many here have no faith.
many here go to churches who lie about everything biblical; look at x-mas!.
but at least we know god and christ and try to live up to their name!.

I know special pioneers in Malaysia and they are instructed not to preach to Muslims. If they were to convert someone that person would risk being killed and so would the teacher. -

Using Third-World Poverty-Stricken Witnesses To Guilt More Donations Video, Where is that Video?
by SanLuisObispoTruthSeeker ini heard about a new video where the watchtower has a single mother and her child eating millet or rice with almost no material possessions worried about donating to the world wide work.
now most religions are trying to donate to third-world countries, not the watchtower profit enterprise, they are willing to take a families last milk cow so their leaders can spend those funds fighting pedophile lawsuits!.
every place the watchtower builds you read about the angry citizens having to pick up their tax bills because the watchtower only takes!

Wannabefree...people of other religions also do that and not just on a local level. Read the news....just last week in Québec, neighbors raised over 40k in support of a 8 year old survivor of a house fire. Churches organize soup kitchens and volunteers deliver meals on a daily basis for aged and handicapped people in need who may not even be of their confession...leaving 2 free mags and offering a free study is how JW help the hungry and the poor. JW do the very minimum by only helping those who are in the same faith. Instead the bulk of their donations go to a multi-billion dollars real estate corporation who even accept donations from the poorest of the poor. -

They came, they saw, they left...
by NVR2L8 induring the holiday period one if my wife's brothers had planned a vacation in our area.
they drove about 6 hours to a condo they leased for a week to celebrate their wedding anniversary with their married son and daughter.
they called my wife to let her know they were coming to visit us since they were 2 hours away.

Welcome Bittersweet.
It was a wise decision to make friends outside of the crazy cult before leaving. I also had support from friends at work, some of which I have known for 30 years. I never had any problems meeting new people and making friends, but that's not the case for everybody and that's why many stay in the congregation long after they figured out something is wrong with the WT. I reconnected with family that were never JWs and that I had no contact with for 50 years! Same thing with school friends and work acquaintances. It's nice to see they are happy and successful raising a family...all this without the guidance of God's word or organization.

Why I HATE the WTS
by berrygerry inas a baby-boomer, i went through the pre-1975 bs without giving it any credence.. even as a youngster, my mind said: "if jesus said that no man knows the day or hour, then why the h is everyone saying that a is coming in oct.
" and i left as a teen.. for whatever insane reason, i was convinced to return a number of years later, and sadly, got dunked.. major faux pas.. in previous posts, i have mentioned my endearing love of great rock (god bless rock and roll), esp.
my teen faves bto, etc.. attending this concert ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yukhsmphvvo ) and watching fred turner's fingers drive me crazy, as one of my children has music in his soul and the fingers of a protege.. i hate that this cult destroys the orgasmic satisfaction that comes from the giving and receiving of pleasure from each others' developed or natural talents or gifts.. god bless rock and roll.. .

I am also a baby boomer and I dropped out of high school at 16, married at 19 and became a father at 21. All these important steps in my life were motivated by the belief that the end was near and the uncertainty of how life would be after Armageddon. Would I be able to marry (have sex), have a family, would I die during the persecution and be resurrected only to remain single for eternity were some of the crazy questions I was asking myself. Many "friends" declined our invitation to attend our wedding because they disapproved us getting married so close to the end. Then my wife became pregnant during 1975...how reckless of us! But the end didn't come and now I had to face raising a family with no education and be a father in my early 20s. Of this whole situation I only regret not pursuing my education which resulted in having to work twice as hard as others to achieve success. Marrying young had its challenges but my wife and I loved each other from the start and becoming a grand father at 50 provides me the opportunity to enjoy time with my grand children, something I couldn't do since all my grandparents were gone before I reached the age of 3. Today I feel really sad for those who obeyed the WT cult and are without a spouse, children or didn't have a career because they still expect the end to come in their lifetime. Many are worn out and have to work hard at minimun wage instead of retiring because they are financially ruined. That could have been me. But instead the only thing between me and a comfortable retirement is that I love my well paying career that involves traveling around the world. But one question will remain unanswered...how much more could I have accomplished if I hadn't been shackled to the WT for 50 years? -

Kaik my friend before replying to Insidethekh I looked at some of his previous posts and quickly came to the realization he is a WT drone who can't think for himself. Inside the KH is where he belongs where there is no need for proof because everything is certainty, like the proximity of Armageddon, or how the congregation is a safe haven for children... -

Inside...I agree that Holocaust deniers can be proven wrong but they may reject the proofs and continue to believe it never happened. Inside, do you really believe no JW ever died from starvation?

Inside....because you didn't see something doesn't prove it doesn't exist...There are deluded people who deny millions of Jews died in the concentration camps or that man never walk on the moon...Unless you're in a cult and only believe what they want you to believe...! -

Inside the KH
Anyway.. there are no Jehovah's Witnesses starving to death anywhere on this world.. and there never were.
JW starved to death in the concentration camps during WWII. Others die because they are too poor to buy the medicine or to pay for treatment for otherwise curable deseases. I personally know JW missionaries who use their own small monthly allowance to help because their Bethel branch doesn't have funds to financially help those in need. Meanwhile the WT society spends hundreds of millions dollars to expand their real estate empire...and they are still begging for more.

I live 600 km from my family and even when I was l active in the cult I would never hear from them unless I called them. They always say how busy they are because they are pioneering or as an elder. They don't know anything else than slaving for the cult so that's all they crave to do. At 81 my mother is still pioneering...she doesn't want to do anything else. She sits at home on standby mode until the next meeting or field service arrangement. My younger non JW brother just became a grand father and wanted to visit my mom with his new grand son...she couldn't give him a time that didn't interfere with her service schedule! And they dare saying it isn't a cult. It's all about showing off their zeal to impress others.
