I remember how the auxiliary pioneering season was all about finding ways to get the required hours in rather than the huge witness this period of the year would accomplish. Did you get your hours in was asked more than did you have any good calls. Finding good experiences for the following service meetings parts was almost impossible...From starting your time at 6:00 am at the train station to displaying magazines on the table of the snack bar while having lunch were among the favorite creative ways to get your time in...upbuilding isn't it?

This shows that the JW's bullsxxt is not unique as there are other "inspired" writings containing predictions that can be perceived as accurate by predisposed believers - cult followers. Many of Nostradamus' predictions were accurate at some point in history...Even a shot in the dark has a chance to hit its target...the more you shoot the more chances you have. -

JWs build KH financed with the money they donated in the first place and their free labour only to be perpetual tenants of the WT society who own the building. Then the WT can sell the building for a profit and have another one built with more free labour from their perpetual tenants. If this isn't a scam what is? Then these perpetual tenants lease their assembly hall, the one they built for free and paid for with their donations...I guess it is too much to ask where all that money goes...all we should do is to shut up and keep donating. -

When I started my fade JWs told me I was no longer welcomed at their weekly game...all this because I was no longer regular at their church's activities. So I am not surprised that they are snubbing you. -

Conti Appeal Preview - Oral Argument Jan 14
by Chaserious inwith hopefully a good deal of interest here in the conti appeal tomorrow (or later today, depending on where you are), i thought that on my ride home from work tonight i'd preview what to expect and what i think the key issues are for any who are interested.
i have had a busy few weeks and haven't had time to read everything, but i had some time to look at the appeal briefs during my work commute the past couple days.
it'll be interesting to see what develops out of the network news coverage of this case.

Paedophilia is a crime, not a sin. Any confession of such crime to an elder should be promptly reported to the police. Failure to do so makes the elder an accomplice of the past and future abuse...plain and simple. If the WT instructions are to deal with the matter internally they are also to blame...do the crime, pay the fine.

After 50 years of loyal service with "God's organization" I stopped attending the meetings and not a single "close as brothers" friend called to inquire or assist. I didn't move or fall of the edge of the earth. I can see the Kingdom Hall from my house! Loving group of people aren't they? Feel free to join Undercover Witness. You will soon find out they are only nice because they are programmed to convert. Otherwise they are just like anybody else. Don't preach the virtues of a cult you know nothing about.

Need to vent: Wife just went in full cult mode, huge fight. she is so brainwashed
by goingthruthemotions inout of the blue my wife started to ask me about my feeling about the borg.
i told her i didn't want to talk about it...she persisted.
she already knows how i feel, i told her that my biggest beef is that they use mind control, and yep she went in to how i was an apostate and how she doesn't want to be married to an apostate.

My wife also said she didn't want to be married to an unbeliever. I replied I understood her reaction because of my sudden exit from the WT. I told her my love for her was not dependent to my affiliation to the WT and that she should really think about it because the next time she expressed her will to no longer be married to me it would be the last. I was ready to move on and live alone because I could no longer live prisoner of the cult. It took 2 years for things to settle but today I can say we are both well adjusted to our new reality. If you really love each other your marriage can survive and you both can still find happiness. -

The very thought of living amongst a world filled by JWs under the rules of the GB would suppress free will, equating to slavery. I was involved in several building projects and JW activities where you are only free to conform to the leaders, regardless if they are right or wrong. The reason given is that you don't want to disrupt the unity and harmony of the group, but the real reason is that you must totally submit to the rulers even when it doesn't make any sense. I will never surrender my right to think and freedom to any cult leaders.
