These are the boxes used at regional conventions. Easy to see and self-supporting. All is left is to assign someone to guard it. -

Shortly after I stopped going to the meetings when JW relatives came to visit and prayed before meals I stayed away from the table until they were done for the reason Bonsaï enumerated. If I hadn't gone to work the previous week there would be no food on their plates and if I was out of a job for months the roof over their heads would be gone too...god has nothing to do with that...but if he did why is he blessing me while millions are starving? -

If you were told today you would die next week, would you be happy and fine with that?
by EndofMysteries ini don't know how so many who seem to be certain this life is it after being jw's seem to happily accept it and be fine with it.
i am living and trying to live as if this is it.
i want there to be a future life/afterlife, something, but i see how fast life comes and goes and even if i'm living it to the fullest, there is no peace for me with the thought this may be it.

Since I have awaken I am at peace with the fact that I will grow old and pass away. This way I can appreciate the time I have left and enjoy life to the fullest instead of wondering if there is a god and what he requires of me so I can make it to an afterlife, which there's no evidence of. Today I don't believe in anything that requires faith and I am much happier this way, living for the moment and finding joy in the smallest of things...from the warm smile of my neighbor to the sweetness of the raspberries that grow in my yard. -

Does this make me a terrible person
by Clambake inmy wife has a friend at her kh.
she is 37 and her friend is 88. i know it sounds kind of strange but they are both the wives of ubm so they kind of stick together.
my wife is very sincere in this friendship and this lady is a nice person.

Suggesting to the old lady to leave some of the inheritance to your wife is not different than an elder's suggestion to leave her money to the WT or to himself... -

After twenty years of marriage…
by John Aquila ini just got a call from a friend who informed me that a brother whom i've known for a while and is an elder, just found out last night that his wife of 20+ years declared she was gay, and left him..
i still need to confirm but my friend is very reliable and was close friends with the family.
heres the thing, she spent 20+ years with this man, has children with him and now decides she wants to follow her heart.

Their sex life must have been miserable...I used to be friends with a very spiritual JW couple special pioneer and all...he thought getting married would curb his wanting for men...newly married the wife said they would have sex once a month if that while it was once a day at least for my new bride and I...for the first few months any way. They had 3 kids so I know there's 3 nights when he didn't have a headache. Today she's remarried and happy. That's what happens when sexual compatibility can only be tested after marriage. -

Millions of JW go door to door daily knowing that most occupants are at work...but all that matters is that they are showing their obedience to Jah who blesses them regardless...the same goes for those who watch the publication trolleys without ever engaging any passer by. Just keeping busy in the most urgent work there is in these final days. -

Governing Body Mandating That Parents Shun DF'd Preteens Baptized Children Will Hurt Them Big Time In The Courts
by Brokeback Watchtower inas the bad conduct of the governing body becomes widely known to both judge and jury i expect that will make lawsuits more profitable against them and easier wins against them and more plentiful.. i think probably one of the most damming videos out there on the net is the one where the parents show their loyalty to the wt corporation and shun their own flesh and blood in obedience to it cruel directives.
this video truely shows that the governing body don't give a shit about the children who symbolize their dedication to the corporation or their parents.. such a self serving corporation that uses it members for profits only and offer nothing in return no matter how much how much they claim otherwise.
they can't hide this it is plain as day so no matter how much they claim they are concerned about the youth in the organization their action thunder loudly and can not be hiden under a basket.

They really project the image of loving parents....way to go JWs. After the interview they must have had people lining up to congratulate them on their fine example of loyalty to their loving god. -

Cart Witnessing - Thrilling! Productive! Epic! Er.....um, well, not so much.....
by sir82 intalked with a pioneer recently, she was recounting her first experience with cart witnessing.. she brought the subject up, was going on & on & on & on about how wonderful the experience was, and how great, and how she enjoyed it so much, and it was so wonderful, and oh jehovah's blessing, and on and on and on...... a few questions to her revealed what really happened:.
-- a jw who owns a small restaurant in a strip mall allows jws to set up their cart outside his restaurant.
-- the restaurant is tucked pretty far out of the way, not prominent at all.

I spend a lot of my time on the road and travel internationally so I had the opportunity to observe the carts in San Diego, Dallas, Seoul, Toronto...and I have yet to see JWs talking to anyone except for other witnesses stopping by to say hello or to replace those guarding the cart...you just can't call this success. It like having two people guarding a small billboard. -

How many times were you told, "You Just Don't Qualify Yet to be an Elder"
by John Aquila inyou think it's the holy spirit that appoints the elders, at least that's what new jw males are told.
the culture within the organization dictates to all young male jehovah's witnesses that unless you are an elder, you will not get the sultry, passionate- brunette, the voluptuous, curvaceous,- blond, or the seductive, erotic, red headed-vamp..
so unaware of the social forces that are shaping your mind, you succumb to the dictum issued by the governing body to conform to the structure already in place- if you want to be successful.

I was a MS for years as was my father before me. My dad was an uneducated man and learned how to read while studying with the JW. He was a mechanic and became friends with the DO and CO because he fixed their cars at a time when they used their own. He was mostly in charge of the KH maintenance or magazine counter. I on the other hand was a very good public speaker and versed in two languages and sign language. I gave public talks, conducted a book study as a MS going to a different group almost every week as a fill in. I have been in several dramas at DC and was interviewed at CA because of my dad's connection with the DO and CO. Still I never became an elder. Something held me back. Last year I reconnected with an ex jw who was an elder in my congregation and he told me I had a reputation of being a skirt chasser...as a teenager I was good friends with many good looking older pioneer girls either because I was helping them learning a foreign language or just to keep them company when they missed their families they had left to move where the need is great. Even the CO's wife would hug and kiss me when they visited...I guess this bothered the elders despite the fact that I married at 19 and am still married to the same wife 40 plus years later. Just before my fade I worked the sound console at the DC and at the assembly hall. I was scheduled as a visiting speaker the week I quit as a MS. I had expected being named an elder at the previous CO's visit but it didn't happen and I am glad because it gave me an extra insensitive to pursue my research about the JW cult. A year later I just didn't return to the KH after the DC.
