by Unlearn inmy undisputed hero of the bible is known by several names, depending on who you talk to...devil, satan, lucifer, etc.. read it, and you'll find that he was the only one who really stood up for you.. he asserted that you could make decisions for yourself...and told you the very real truth that, just because the piece of meat in your chest stops thumping, you positively do not 'die'.. he was your hero.
he stood up to a daddy-maniac and said, 'just because you made us doesnt mean you have the right to tell us what to do.
i thought we were free?'.

Certainly Satan/Devil/Lucifer/Azazel is the bible's hero!
If all that BS was true, I'd take the devil's side. In my heart at least b/c if all of that was true, Satan and his fellas would die by the hands of Jehovah, the dictator. I would try to life under Jehovah's laws as long as I could, but in a way or another one day I'd give a S#%t to Jehovah and die like a free man!

Exact! I think that underline paradox makes the place alarm something must be very wrong. When I was a true believer, sometimes I'd that feeling and it was triggered by several things/situations we experience inside the Tower. At that time I could not know what was wrong, but there was something.
Strangely I still feel a kind of that feeling but way more subtle, I think that's the primal engine of our minds. That's what make us always desire to go on and see what lies beyond the road curve, it's a feeling of pure untouchable mystery. Sadly that feeling it's used by religions to mislead in thinking it's a kind of God or something external to us. It's not external just a sense that's shared by everyone in a way or another.
The best definition I ever heard about that, it's the concept of void from buddhism, the Sunyata. I think the concept of void/nihil/emptyness it's the closely we can get from it. An effing mysterious pregnant void that gave birth to all the things, like the scientific concept of quantum fluctuation.

I know your point about the "museum feeling", I felt the same every time I went to some museum. And the old stuff related to JW's make us to feel more compassionate toward this "old pics" people.
I'm a nihilist and a tour through a museum is the ultimate gospel of nihilism. No matter what you believe or not believe, 150 years from now most of us will be not even remembered by our very descendants.
It's not a sad thing neither happy, just the reality.

He could be a kind of atheist, b/c he discussed a lot of logical fallacies in a way to analize religions and doctrines. That method it's not used by christian theists b/c the very christianism don't stand through logical thinking. If you use the fallacy check method, even Jesus and Jehovah words fall into logical absurd.
