How many Governing Body members have secret accounts on this forum?
by slimboyfat inhow many of them do you think have secret accounts on this discussion board?
could it be just a couple of the younger ones or all of them or none of them or do they get others to read and post on the forum on thei behalf.
i saw in a news article that you can hire social media and internet agents to manage your online profiles on your behalf.

I really need some help to get out of this religion
by doughnutkitty inhi, i've been lurking on this site for quite a while after recently having doubts about the "truth".
i've read a lot of posts about problems with the doctrines, mind control, the beliefs, brainwashing that jehovah's witnesses and their literature, as well as their history.
now only being a sixteen year old born in who isn't baptized or unbaptized, i've come to find all this information incredibly overwhelming.

The best thing in your life just already happened.
To a born in wake up with 16yo it's like nothing is beyond repair.
I had a kind of semi awakening when I was 16yo but the sum of all circunstances were not on my side.
I waked in my 24 in 2006.
If you follow the advices here you will not have big problems.
Welcome to the real world and enjoy your early morning of your life.

'Watson' Goes To College
by metatron inhttp://www.washingtonpost.com/business/watson-goes-to-college-ibm-sends-version-of-supercomputer-to-rpi-to-boost-cognitive-skills/2013/01/30/c7537234-6ab3-11e2-9a0b-db931670f35d_story.html.
yes, "watson", the computer system that crushed its opponents on jeopardy, is going to college to brush up on its skills.. think of a future in which we are dominated by something like "skynet" or "colossus" - only really helpful and nice ( we hope).
i, for one, welcome our new computer overlords.

The IBM Watson is the first cognitive computer. It's the beginning of a new era.
Computers now can read natural language and no just 0's and 1's.
They can learn without someone to translate (to machine language) to them.
The exascale (1 quintillion os calculations per second) will be reached before 2020. Now (until june 2013) the processing capacity is 33/50 peta (quadrillion), the exascale is 1000 peta. It's a long way since the 1 calculation per second with the (never built) Babbage computer in the 1830's.
And them the computers will have the same capacity of human brain processing.
For the first time in history, the humans will no more be the only intelligent entities in the earth.
Truly, we no more will be the smartest guys around.
We hope all human problems will be solved with the help of such intelligence.
There's no impossible problems, there's only lack of intelligence to solve problems.
What we consider impossible problems (aging and death included), to a higher intelligence it's just obvious solutions.
More than ever the humankind is beyond obsolete. We are living times the humans are bridges and not and end.
The only solution is to merge with technology. How we'll do this? No surgeries or painful interventions but with nanobots, foglets to be more specific.

Who left or got stumbled over the 1995 generation thing?

This is one of the best topics on JWN.
That change was the end of an era in the JW world.
Things never be the same after that.
1975 was bad but 1995 was beyond repair.
The dream was over after 1995.
After 1995 the only option left to JW's was the dumbing down of the whole thing and forget what they once tried to be.
At same time the internet was entering in the stage and it was a true paradise of knowledge and new possibilities.
I just can imagine what the old JW's from the pre-1995 era think about what's happening now in the Watchtower.

Design or Non-Design, finally we know, Darwin's Doubt
by QC inif you want to read the definitive explanation on fossils and how life arrived its covered in darwins doubt, by s.c. meyer.
this is a game changer.

{R. Dawkins would also be a partial source.}
Dawkins is a biologist.
There's no doubt in biology about evolution like there's no doubt in physics about gravity.

If something is under the darwinian algorithm, that thing will be under evolution.
Does not matter if the thing is a virus or a proto-language.

So the languages did not evolved too? Was just a poof in Babel's Tower?
My dear, evolution is everywhere. Not in biology, but in linguistics, economics, cosmology and computing, to name a few.
The darwinian algorithm is just amazing!
Heritability + Mutation + Natural Selection
You can make an entire universe full of life with that.
