is there an official name for the comedic device where one replaces one word with another word having a similar pronounciation but a different (usually derisive) meaning?.
for example, some skeptics deride the bible by spelling it "buy-bull".
same or simliar pronounciation but entirely different meaning.

of course we were all shamed for not having enough faith in god's spirit directed organization, the elder arrangement, the f&ds ....blah, blah, blah.. but what else is there?
.....another organization, faith in jehovah, faith in jesus, faith in the bible?
what precisely is the primary object of faith for a christian?.
Bloooood! Same thing to vampires. LOL
how would you describe the state of the world's religions currently.
which ones do you see making reforms and progress or bound to old traditions, or split between old and new approaches to social, environmental and political concerns.. jws.
islam.
I think (neo)pentecostalism it's the last breath of organized christianity. Organized religion it's in decline, just local decentralized congregations seems to survive. People will avoid mega centralized religions. Theists will be more and more self service believers (like tec).
the one question that is absolutely unanswerable by jehovah's witnesses that actually understand their own doctrines is this:.
can you show me even one new testament scripture that shows how a person can get their sins forgiven while outside of the new covenant?.
most of us are familiar with the one proof scripture that has all the necessary elements tied together into one neat doctrine - matther 26: 27,28:.
The truth:
Original Sin: Telomeres with a decaying DNA sequence due to blind evolutionary process
Saviours: Elizabeth Blackburn and Tetrahymena
Redemption: Resveratrol and genetic therapy (like Glybera).
i sure as eggs know which types don't:.
creative types: to do well at a creative industry one must dedicate a lot of time to developing one's talent, and as a jw one simply doesn't have time.
since writing a story or painting a picture doesn't contribute in any way to prestudy, meetings or fs results it's considered useless anyway.
Julia that's the definition of a narcissist.
lurkers, debaters, haters, lovers, the lost, the found, and the misplaced.
it's been a while, and i wanted to pop in.
the point isn't to agree.
I think an ex-JW starts to live when indifference comes towards JW issues. And then the JW world becomes just an old culture we share, like we lived on a distant land someday.

Control freaks and very very weird people. How can a normal person study a book like Revelation in a serious way? Or even pretend to accept the generation new light BS?
giant pyramids and sphinxes found in the bermuda trianglehttp://altering-perspectives.com/2013/06/giant-pyramids-and-sphinxes-found-in.html.
Stupid "I WANT TO BELIEVE".
the story of why the new bible has a grey cover (silver sword) moved me to ask you all what your favorite jw urban legend is?.
one of my favorite jw urban legends.
a sister is out in service alone.
I remember one from a yearbook about a man who his belly swolled like a pregnant woman because some local witch had put a spell on him. I recall another one from a YB about a talking snake in some african village. There's one experience from a magazine about a brother who was a wizard and he could move curtains only with his mind power.
Even when I was an UberDub I found these stories pure BS!
as a young teenager, i would look at "apostate" books at the city library.
i was always intrigued as to what was sooo bad and other than a few writings of some that seemed like they hated the witnesses, i would clandestinely look at literature, especially in "christian" bookstores.. it took years for me to finally disconnect.
i will say that ray franz' books enlightened me the most!.
(I know that Mr Franz would play it down but I cannot put into words what I feel that I owe him. Not just for me but for the freedom of my two daughters.)
