i'm about halfway through and i think they're very engaging books.

not sure about all the beliefs laid out in the books, but i still find them really interesting.

Personal opinion alert: I believe that the great falling away, may take place when The Antichrist assumes power prior to the Trib. That falling away, could be caused by those that put there hopes in a safety net doctrine.

okay, the thread on budgeting and money made me start thinking.

the thing my husband i spend the most money on is eating out.

there is one very good reason for this, i can't cook.

Anytime I can find someone worse off than I was, it's a good day for me .
Oh and this is a guy that was raised in a family that ran a restaurant. So I had no cooking genes, I am self taught, and proud of it.

They should be but one of the first problems I will have with them is that I never know how long to cook meat for. I don't know when it is done. I also don't know the difference in baking and broiling. I have always thought the broiling was done in the drawer under the oven but now I'm pretty sure that is just storage.

One at a time. For meat temp. Buy a meat thermometer, the temperature of the meet correspsonds with medium rare, etc.
Baking is the big compartment, called an oven, on the thing wih the four fire rings on the top . Baking is usually dry heat. The broiler is the compartment under the oven, this is used instead of a grill for cooking meat .
And I thought I was bad? Sheesh!

Desi,
I couldn't cook, however after I got divorced I began to watch TV Food Network religiously (no pun intended). It was there whatching How to Boil Water, and Good Eats, that I learned the basics of cooking. Now I'm a good cook, and when I had freinds over for a dinner party I got raves about the food (you know they're not lying by how much they eat and the eyes).

Sarcasm is welcome provided you tell us the real reason under it , this is because I am going to be using the responses in a class that I am giving on JWs, and I am looking for something fresh to give the students.

BTW, my leaving began I after throughly researched the Trinity brochure and came to the conclusion that they were at best sloppy scholars, or at worst outright decievers. As I continued to research the WTS, I began concluded that the WTS is a decpetive cult, that needs to control and micro-manage the lives of the rank-and-file in order to survive.
